I do remember that and you’re right to bring it up. I think that is a very Cecil thing to do and it allows him to up his game in protecting people, so I’m not mad at it but brainwashing villains to make them work for you is kind of crazy. I recognize that I’m somewhat of an idealist myself, so I know my morals aren’t realistic given his position and the coming storm Cecil has to contend with. I can acknowledge the results, but I still find the means questionable. End of the day, it’s grey. To me, he’s gotta be the devil to keep Hell in check.
I’m more on Mark’s side but I understand everyone on this list. Cecil is doing what he knows will benefit everyone, morals be damned, but just because it works doesn’t make it right. He’s not here to be the good guy, it’s to be the one who does what’s necessary, no matter how bloody it gets. Mark isn’t some guy behind a screen, he’s a young superhero, so of course his outlook is a little less gray but he’s also not wrong. D.A. Sinclair’s work is being used to save lives instead of take them but I’ve not heard a lick about his penance. He wasn’t punished, he was given a lab and resources. Say what you want about Mark, but that IS messed up and it isn’t how the world works/is supposed to work. He’s seen the danger up close and personal and deals with the horrors every time, while Cecil sees convenience. Cecil is perfect for his job and sure, we can argue he made the right call since it paid off, but he’s not all that good. But that’s okay because in a way, he’s at war and after Omni-Man, he cannot afford to be concerned with treating criminals like criminals anymore as long as they prove useful in the days to come. Mark is a superhero acting on his own morality which is being tested everyday. He’s not some government head, he’s just the guy you call when there’s trouble, so it’s natural his rage would be more visceral. I think Mark is naive, sure, but I also think their situation is highly irregular and they’re being pushed to the extreme.
Happy birthday
@Qwertyuiopasdfghjklçzxcvbnm and @Temporal (Zen-El) I think I can understand why you won’t answer, but I’d like to know more if that’s okay
I don’t think I’m qualified to determine what’s best for humanity. There are things we need to work on and suffering we need to reduce, but the world changes significantly when all those issues are suddenly resolved. Not saying we should leave people to suffer, I think that efforts to protect ourselves and help one another should continue, I just worry that it could be potentially destabilizing if everyone was rich, everyone had powers, everyone was suddenly a good person, etc. If everyone were made healthy, or if everyone were fed, that’s one thing, but the options I gave above give us too much power, makes us wildly unpredictable, and invokes change without progress. I don’t think people need to be brainwashed. Killing “criminals” doesn’t make you good, especially since it’s such a broad term for anyone from a jaywalker to a trafficker. If God took a step away for most of human history, we wouldn’t need him to improve us; we’ve been doing that on our own for years. Slowly but surely, we’re forced to be aware of things beyond our grasp and that breeds conversation on how to approach them. We’re forced to be mindful of our history so as to not repeat it. Sure there’s still a lot going on, but I’d take today’s problems over the problems my ancestors had in the early 1900s and prior. Not just as black people, but as people living in a crude society. To be saved suddenly removes all human effort and significance and once again gives us a savior when the answers lie with us all along. I dunno, I just don’t think it’s necessary and I’m humble enough to admit that I’m not the spokesperson for human kind. None of us are and in a way, none of us, not even all of us, should be.
I’m stuck between King’s Domain and Impel. A part of me really wants the personal enhancement of Impel, but I’ve always wanted Telekinesis plus the Domain reminds me of Trafalgar Law’s Room ability, but way more versatile. I go King’s Domain. I watch enough isekai for a power like Inner World and don’t think I’d do well with unchecked and unchallengeable power.
@AshAndrewFlame “if it’s too much effort” is crazy. You had me in the first half ngl
I’m curious how many of y’all are Christians. Just wondering because some responses are pessimistic towards humanity, others are optimistic they can make a good case, and some note the indifference of god. I guess I wanna see who characterizes god how. I myself am an atheist. I would’ve said agnostic, but religion doesn’t have any place in my life currently
Nothing because we’d be dead. Two almighty forces clashing, they wouldn’t wanna hear anything we have to say if they already believe humanity as a whole deserves punishment. There’d be no such thing as Innocence and thus, I’d be heard as an Offender, whose words are less credible.
If I could try, though, I’d honestly try to see if we can be left alone as long as it doesn’t kill us. The cosmos are vast, try again somewhere else, and use us as the blueprint. A perfect god doesn’t need to reside on earth and is omnipotent and omnipresent.
I agree with the other comments but it is kind of valid. There are plenty of typos and confusing things on the wikis, so I think you’re just gonna have to make your own tiers even if it means simply cutting out Transcendent. I think this would be cool to take up with the editors or something, but there are thousands of pages on this wiki. Changing them all will be a pain
I chose Hope. Using a green lantern ring as I am now would literally drain me. Red rings make me crazy, a yellow ring would never approach me, an orange ring will also make me crazy and it’s possible the star sapphires will too, if they don’t kill me for being a man first. The Blues are the most powerful lanterns even if they don’t get the same versatility as everyone else but I like that they can heal stars by themselves. They can make a planet flourish and make people feel better. I don’t get big constructs or napalm blood but I can still fly, go to outer space, make small constructs, and my ring is still a supercomputer. Also, upon getting a Blue Lantern ring, it shows you a vision of great hope. I wonder what it would show me.
@Captain Slumber you might wanna try Hope or Conpassion lol if you get scared, a yellow ring won’t work for you and if you get a red ring, you’d go mad with rage. With Hope, it’s more about peace and possibility than emotion. Compassion can mind control you into being a tribe member, but that’s usually if you’re a bad guy, so the more good you are, the more naturally you fit among them I think.
I can agree that the elements they control have some of the same properties, but nah. Katakuri can be bouncy, stretchy, fortified or sticky and he can summon mochi constructs as well as nullify damage by becoming mochi. Luffy can be bouncy and stretchy and his powers were limited to his body until Gear 5. Luffy’s DF is about bodily freedom, Katakuri’s DF is mochi. Luffy created a pair of goggles out of his cloud hair, but thats using his body so freely it can act as goggles. Katakuri could make goggles but they wouldn’t be useful for seeing or tracking targets. They were similar enough to provide an interesting battle where some attacks can be mirrored by the other, but I don’t think their similarities are anything deep enough to boldly make that statement.
Touche. I could use the beams and blasts to shock/burn through multiple enemies at once and give myself space. Maybe I could have a technique of holding my breath to let the aurora work inside my body, giving me superhuman qualities. Once I exhale, the aurora leaves my body and my breath abilities are weakened for a short time, especially since I have to catch my breath. I can create an aurora to hide in and eat at the health of the demons.
I’m definitely hiding lol having my throat and mouth targeted in battle doesn’t sound very fun. I run out of breath and it’s over

I feel like maybe you could eliminate options based on how they fulfill the wish and their story? Sometimes the powers don’t matter so much as how they fit into the story
It’s all about wish fulfillment, I think. What power serves the purpose of your wish?
But a fictional world is a reality, fictional or not. Everything in this wiki refers to something fictional in fictional realities.
@AzQth yeah, exactly - just a literary tool
Ahhh I see, I didn’t know there was a precedent to this sort of thing. In our roleplay, it’s said that we should be glad our characters can’t find our universe so we almost treat them as though they could, roaming all realities but the ones we occupy. It’s still fiction so I get your point, but I’ve never read Omniverse as a literal thing
