I'm just curious to know.
I'm just curious to know.
Is magic simply an expression / variation / or form of powers based on fantasy? Or it has a difference, since I see that magic has its equivalents with powers in general, for example: omnipotence with almighty magic.
If someone could hack reality (like a video game) how powerful would it be?
Presentation / Start, and / or explanation.
This doubt has recently been eating into my head, since there are many things that come into play at the time of knowing if it is possible or not.
It all started when I accidentally confused a phrase which says: "be the best version of yourself" to "be better than yourself", at first I took it as illogical and absurd, but, with the time and knowledge I gained about how things work with powers and etc, come to see it as something not so illogical in the end (maybe, I just have a misunderstanding, but, first it is better that you continue reading until the end).
I always had the dream of giving one of my characters a somewhat special characteristic, and that is, being the strongest in fiction, which led me to use that phrase incorrectly pronounced, and transform it into something different, from there "" believe "" (I put it in quotation marks, since it has happened to me on several occasions that what I supposedly believe has already been created and they end up blaming me for copying). From there, create an abbreviation / category (in moments I will tell you why as a category) that I nickname: "O.T.H (Over The High)", which in short means: absolute self-transcendence. (Now I will explain why I see it as a category [by the way, I am not suggesting that they create one for it or they will create it, I am just saying that I see it as such for a reason.) The reason why I see it as a category: is that any power could use that term / abbreviation / category, to give an example, I will use fire manipulation: OTH fire manipulation, which would mean; manipulate fire at a level that is capable of burning more than it can or more of the own capacities of that concept / term).
Now, once everything initial and essential is explained, let's go with what comes in the title.
One day, to make my character overly powerful, I decided to use that category in the most common omnipowers in an OP character, omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence, transforming them to: OTH omniscience, OTH omnipresence, OTH omnipotence, and it is in that special in where a small internal debate started and sometimes even between a friend and me, we debated if it was possible / logical.
And that is where my doubt arises: as one of the principles / rules of omnipotence is: "above omnipotence, there is omnipotence, since it is the maximum pinnacle between the powers".
So (by the way, I didn't mention it, but, I consider that OTH omnipotence would be much stronger than normal omnipotence, since with OTH being used, it would mean: "to be more omnipotent than omnipotence / to be able to do more things than that omnipotence can in all its concept "). So, this would be possible for an omnipotent to do it, since the reason I give to make it as logical as possible is that my own character has granted it to himself, using his omnipotence. So and summing up I got these doubts:
1-Would something happen externally or internally of my fictional world? (For example, the principle would continue to work and would simply make all the omnipotenct being existing in my fictional world balance that power)
2- Mainly, is it possible that something like this exists or can exist?
3-If not, would it at least be another possible name or variation equal to omnipotence?
4-Did this already exist or could it be easily compared with one or combining two categories?
Post Data: If you ask, I do not think it is equal to the Meta category, since according to the category itself, it defines it as a more finds, and OTH means to overcome yourself reaching an absolute infinity by overcoming a concept, someone or something.
Post Data 2: I am willing to debate with respect, so I ask for the same. And also, if you do not know, I would also like to know your speculations / thoughts and in itself, your opinion even if you do not know about these topics.
Post Data 3: It is my first discussion / blog / comment, so if you see some bugs like using decorating and organizing tools, that's the reason.
