No
Yeah, using the forms more, along with effort and studying the book more
Not with this book no, did I miss that in your request?
Copies of this book, he’s gonna scatter a few across the world and specifically to areas with people who aren’t good people
@Mysterylobo im going in order
The salesman smiles and giggles manically, as if a child excited
”Oh I do so love the ones who give me something actually interesting to sell them. I mean, don’t get me wrong selling the immensely strong stuff is good and all, the price is always high, but oh boyo does it get old. Stay here.”
Pushing off the counter the chair rolls back into an aisle and a few minutes later the salesman returns holding a leather bound book with simple gold letters on its surface giving the title “The Tome of Extraordinary Creatures”.
Smiling the salesman sets it on the table
“So! This is a fun one! Like you want, theoretically this lets its owner turn into, almost any supernatural creature. Dragons, hydras, sea serpents, all the above. It also happens to be, and trust me I’d know, the only supernatual or natural book ever printed to actually have every creature in it…probably cause I wrote it. But never mind that! The way it works is simple. Knowledge, is power. It has infinite pages, and each chapter is a comprehensive overview of a single creature. Diet, biology, abilities, etc. The user may open to that chapter and read an incantation to temporarily turn into it. Duration varies based on the strength of the user, their affinity with the form, and more factors. The main one being, comprehension. If the user fully memorizes, comprehends and internalizes the information on that creature they’ll be able to stay in its form, almost indefinitely if they so want. It does however, not allow the user to access every creature immediately. It starts the user fairly small, imps and stuff, as sort of an intro to learning this new type of information. A few years and you’ll be doing dragons. Now, this is one I made myself, and since it’s pretty slow to start and it’s not bound to you or anything, the price isn’t too much relatively. How about…oh, I know. I’ll take a few more of these and toss em out on your planet, specifically to people who…aren’t the best people. It won’t affect you directly, but you have no control over what they might do with them. Deal? Or maybe you have another price in mind?
(sorry this is long I got inspired! Lemme know if you have any questions!)
@Abdalla1234 The one at a time rule, fyi, but given your trend of ones you’ve said no to most of those you wouldn’t accept
I figured
@Abdalla1234 thats essentially nigh-omnipotence given its any power you want, so just fyi the price would be the same one overlord accepted
@Mysterylobo its not since its at most nigh omnipotent. Thats not what i said, the rule I was referring too is only buying one thing at a time. You did that plus a system plus an AI, that’s 3 things
The salesman nods, waving a hand briefly in the air, a rainbow trailing behind it with images that evoke nostalgia yet you have no idea why
”Imagination. Quite a potent thing, quite a fickle one. Alright kiddo, you want to bring your imagination to life. For that I’ll take your focus, no more controlling that imagination of yours…what little it can be controlled already. You imagine it, it comes real, but what if it was without a filter hmm? Deal? Or do you have another price in mind?”
The salesman visibly smiled, a glimmer appearing in his eyes
”Turning into mystical and fantastical creatures? Oh I do so love fun ones. Before I give you a price, I should ask do you want this as a power you have innately, or would an item or something similar be amenable to you I have a few interesting artifacts like that here around the store that you might be interested in, but I want to check first.”
The salesman taps a finger on the desk idly as he thinks for a moment
”Well, I’ll warn you manifesting desires can be very risky. Desires are fickle, and unpredictable. A desire for love can quickly become obsession and similar. But, if you truly want that it is not my job to tell you no, simply to tell you the price. So kiddo, how about I take…let’s say your focus from you. No more control over your own thoughts or, well, desires. You can make them real, but they all come real? And no, before you ask you can’t get your focus back or in any way undo or subvert this price with this or any other power. So, Deal?”
@Alex8784 that’s…so many things. A dimension/domain, which also has other beings in it, that also gives you powers, that also is a source for other people to get powers. I’m lost honestly, it might be one power but you’re going to need to simplify it im sorry. If it’s multiple then do it one at a time pls
@Mysterylobo @No.13Kid read rules, please Ask for one at a time, once one is finished you can ask for the further others
@Mischief Multiverse Discovery
The salesman rolls his eyes briefly but giggles a little showing it’s not serious
”At that point, just ask for nigh-omnipotence kiddo. And thank you for complimenting the shop, I do try, I decorated the whole place myself.”
He gestures to the store and the aisles that extend out to infinity as far as you can tell
”Anywho, as for the price, for something of that level I am indeed sadly going to need to take…well…everything. Those are the rules, what you pay has to equal or exceed what you get. Your memories, your humanity, your impact on the world, your very soul. Up to you if that’s worth it. Or if that even counts as you anymore. Deal?”
The salesman simply smirks and nods
”You know what you want. I respect it. For something that all encompassing and powerful, you do understand the price must always equal or exceed the good. If you want that, I’m going to take everything you have to give. Memories, identity, humanity, everything you might call a soul, even the impact you’ve had on the world. What’s left will have power, but it will never be able to recover what it lost, not even with nigh-omnipotence. The question is if you think it’s worth it. Deal?”
The salesman gives a light laugh
"Well if you want to be Bruce Almighty, that's a different powerset. But I like the enthusiasm. The moon might be a bit hard, your 1/7 doesn't include Earth or its nearby stuff, so its up to you to get to the moon on your own. Though yes, you can step on the moon if you'd like. As for when it starts."
The salesman flicks his hand and a portal rips open in air, through it a scape of seemingly endless stars
"Just go on through kiddo. And good luck. Enjoy being king of the castle over there. Just remember, outside of it you're normal. And this whole universe is about to get wacky with what I'm selling."
@Abdalla1234 basically you can control the reincarnation but you have a price placed on every positive trait you can give yourself in your lives. Like a video game shop, but for things in your next life
The salesman nods
”No worries kiddo, I understand. For 1/7, and I’ll reduce the price more for you by making it part of the universe that doesn’t include earth. I’ll take your ability to come home. Live your life, enjoy your little corner of creation, but no more earth. Deal?”
