Hey Code
Hey y'all, thinking of making a 180 change to my internet persona again... And if I want to reflect that on Fandom, I'll have to make another account since I already changed my name on this once... sigh
Imagine being in the nighttime lmao
@K5S142 How many different Worlds are there in the Megaverse that a soul can go to after death? Yeah, there's Heaven and Hell but anything else?

Hey y'all
What should Étienne’s species be?
A Genius Loci, which makes more sense when I start explaining this small piece of lore I made up: Éti is actually a Sentient Domain, modelled after elevators you can find in an old hotel- the shitty, clunky kind. This Domain, although able to shift form at any time, basically acts as an Elevator between Heaven and Hell, and it was created by a group of Mages way back when. Since then, it had fallen into disuse due to more efficient methods being found to travel to Hell and Heaven. So Éti essentially decided to create a new image for themselves and after making a deal with Panthera and Cadmean, they now make a stop on Earth and act as a psychopomp who carries mortal souls to Heaven and Hell.
If that’s too outrageous/messy from a lore perspective, they can be a good ol’ Half-Spirit stuck between the realm of the living and dead.
As to not make myself suffer more later on, I will be posting the direct link to the doc in any sign-ups because God I fucking hate how long it takes for Fandom to load images sometimes

A man of interesting features, Michel isn’t a full person by himself per se. What makes him himself is the constant influence of the other Archetypes. This doesn’t mean that he is a complete blank slate, gullible or manipulatable however. As The Persona’s most visible trait is the free will, Michel is a free spirit who dislikes being tied to any specific cause if it’s not something subconsciously told to him via any of the Archetypes, of course.
Michel is not “good” or “evil” by any means. His split mind does not treat things as such, and it’s only appropriate that he tends to stay neutral often. Even if something he does causes harm or gain, it’s not because he saw it as good or bad to do. To him, things are either done for the greater good (domain of The True-Self) or self-gratification (domain of The Shadow).
He’s normally very mellow and can come off as careless, but when he’s influenced a certain way (cough cough The Shadow) you can see his mean side and it is not very pleasant. Considering that it’s actually kind of rare to see Michel siding with The Shadow, it’s probably not a good sign for anybody involved.
He generally gets caught up in events that he most definitely should not be involved in due to his curious nature and neutral stance. He questions a lot of things going on around him, and it’s often interesting to see him debate the answers he got from each of the Archetypes by himself.
Understandably, he isn’t very mentally stable. He is prone to breakdowns and identity crises for obvious reasons. He has delusional beliefs that intensify if he’s in desperate need of relaxation after he’s been overloaded by the Archetypes and not being able to come to a conclusion. He thinks that he’s some sort of “messiah” whose job is to “judge” people based on their morality if there’s too much clashing going on in his mind. This generally results in unnecessary violence no matter what side of him has taken over- whether it be The True-Self, The Shadow, The Animus or The Ego.
He desperately wants to be someone. He is someone, but not in the regular sense- he doesn’t know what he wants to be in the end. If he zones out sometime, just leave him be. Things are already pretty complicated up there in his head.

° [[Powers/Abilities]] °
[Ascended Demon Physiology]
Michel ascended into an Ascended Demon after praising a False God created in his own image.
[Enhanced Condition: Type II]
Michel’s body was enhanced during his Ascension to an Ascended Demon. Before that, he was at a measly Peak Human! Can you believe that?
[Uniqueness]
As Michel’s powers are based on his own personal view of life that are split into different entities that come to form a singular mind, he is completely unique. He cannot be replicated or copied in any way, shape or form.
[Four Sides]
As Michel is technically five different beings in a trenchcoat, he can utilize the abilities of the rest in different ways.
[Four Sides: The True-Self]
The True-Self’s influence allows Michel to see how an action would possibly affect people who would be, well, affected by it. This in turn helps The True-Self decide what’s “best” to be done in their eyes. This makes Michel charge up with “Pure Essence” as The True-Self semi-possesses his body.
[Four Sides: Pure Essence]
Pure Essence is a type of energy The True-Self radiates. It manifests as an aura, and essentially forces entities with weaker mentalities to take on the mental view of The True-Self, compelled to do things for the greater good.
[Four Sides: The Shadow]
The Shadow’s influence allows Michel to see how an action would possibly affect himself after he has done it. This can be a useful tool as it is essentially pseudo-Causality Sight. Using this power makes The Shadow temporarily possess Michel’s body and give him an aura of “Corrupt Essence”.
[Four Sides: Corrupt Essence]
The Shadow radiates an energy type known as Corrupt Essence. which manifests as an aura. This makes any creature with weaker mentalities to share theirs with The Shadow, possibly creating mass hysteria as they do things for their own gratification.
[Four Sides: The Animus]
The Animus grants the ability of seeing anything that Michel wants or desires in his life, whether those be superficial or reel. This ability doesn’t see much use, unless Michel needs to set a goal for himself to work for- which happens sometimes. Using this gives control to The Animus temporarily and creates an aura of Desire Essence.
[Four Sides: Desire Essence]
The Animus radiates Desire Essence which manifests as an aura just like all the other Essences manifests as an aura. This makes all beings in its radius become incredibly susceptible to Michel’s wishes. He can command any creature in it and it will be done.
[Four Sides: The Ego]
As it is the Ego’s domain, The Ego’s powers allow Michel to see what is a threat to his survivability in a small period of time. This also doesn’t see much use unless Michel is seriously at risk of death. But it still makes The Ego take over Michel and create an aura of Reality Essence.
[Four Sides: Reality Essence]
The Reality Essence is generated by The Ego and manifested as an aura. This is essentially Nigh-Absolute Survivability. Whenever there is a threat to Michel’s life nearby, it will be negated. So if he’s lucky and the aura happens to line up, he can most definitely make an axe-murderer out for him disappear.
[Supernatural Combat]
Although his abilities are more “support” than “offense”, Michel still has a lot of means of combat, whether it be by martial arts or weaponry.
[Gun Proficiency]
After years spent as a pseudo-hitman of PR, Michel has learnt the art of gunplay and carries his prized handgun everywhere with him.
[Martial Arts Mastery]
Michel knows how to defend himself via martial arts, although he’s most proficient by far in MMA.

° [[Weaknesses]] °
As an Ascended Demon, he is weak to both Demons and Angels.
Other Transcendent Beings can easily overpower him.
He’s matched by users of Enhanced Condition and overpowered by anything higher.
Most of his abilities are very situational and see little use in the grand scheme of things.
The Auras only affect entities with weaker mentalities than Michel (which is not a high bar in the first place).
He needs some sort of firearm to use Gun Proficiency.
If his body is rendered useless, he can’t (understandably) utilize Martial Arts Mastery.
° [[Backstory]] °
The only child of a young Demon couple and some of the first to venture onto modern Earth to make it their permanent home, Michel’s “original” life was never as cheerful as his parents’ original goal seemed to be.
After his birth, his parents desperately needed a place to live without making their identities as infernal creatures obvious. After some bends and hooks in their path, his father managed to take up an offer as a “businessman” in a place that seemed to be reliable enough. It was not.
He mysteriously disappeared after a few weeks of working for them, which prompted Michel’s mother to follow his tracks and eventually link it back to the workplace. It wasn’t any old company he was working for. In fact, he had just been baited into some sort of money laundering operation… but much, much worse.
The “job” he took was just a front for individuals to get caught in the net of Project Rat. If they were regular old Humans, they were mostly incorporated into the Project as workers but if they were Supernaturals, their fate was essentially sealed.
Just to see her partner again, Michel’s mother went through a lot of hoops. Maybe impressed by her resilience, Project Rat did not use her as a test subject. Instead they convinced her that she and her family were and would be safe as long as they were to essentially sign away his son’s rights to Project Rat. He would not be hurt by them, and instead would be an assurance for him and his family to not be touched by the filthy claws of the Rat. Plus, Michel would learn more about the human world in the process.
In the end, Michel’s father was able to return to his family, but as a changed man. He was… empty, almost blank, and way more prone to violent and spontaneous actions, and would eventually die a confused man. Meanwhile, Michel was held under the thumb of Project Rat. It all seemed fine from the outside, but who’d think that PR would be honest for once? All they were looking for was an impressionable mind, young enough so it could be bent to their desires.
From then on, Michel would become another subject of an experiment to create an individual completely devoid of a sense of moral righteousness. No “good” and no “bad”. He was kept hidden away from most anything for the earlier years of his life, and as soon as he could start properly holding a weapon he was sent off regularly to do errands- whether those be things like kidnappings or assassinations or not. This was to see how his mind would react to these, and to take out some easy targets for PR of course.
He led a similar lifestyle until he hit 26, which is pretty impressive considering what he did all these years. Until he was arrested, not even after a murder or anything. A simple mugging was the end of the line for him.
As soon as PR caught wind of this, they dropped him. Hard. In their view, their perfect experiment was tainted. Not considering that Michel was obviously very confused and did not understand why he was being punished, of course. As a piece of junk to PR, his entire history of assassinations, murders and other crimes were sent to the police force- and that was enough for the death penalty. Easy disposal, right?
No.
Michel’s already damaged mental state could not handle the immense weight and confusion of the situation. So they had a complete nervous breakdown while being held captive, something that probably should have happened long years ago for everybody’s sake.
“I’ve hurt people… no… no… I… I can’t return. More people will be hurt…”
“If I get out, I can completely end Project Rat for once and for all…”
Under all that pressure, it seemed that it’d probably be more sensible to put him out of his misery. So he did exactly that. About a year too late.
On the night before his expiration date, Michel had taken his own life. So just like that, all records of him were completely gone on the request of PR. Just as if he had never existed at all. When his mother questioned where her son had been -she had been cut off from him for some time- and she was met with the response of “What son?”, you can imagine how that ended, I suppose.
But if you thought that his story ended there, you would be oh so wrong. Because Michel’s small “perishing trick” was essentially a way for him to ascend. Remember his tiny breakdown? Well, that split his mind into five: The Persona, The True-Self, The Shadow, The Animus and The Ego. In his mind, all of these creatures sans The Persona (AKA himself) was a deity. So there he goes, playing make-believe in his created pantheon. This caused him to become a total shut-in, even in his solitary cell, refusing to interact with anything.
He eventually dug himself deep enough to believe that he would ascend once he got the blessing of one of the Archetypes. So he stuck with The True-Self, the side of his mind that encouraged that death would be the best way out of his dilemma. If he died, he’d just become a small speck that never even existed and thus would cause no harm to others.
However, death did not kill him. How ironic. He instead returned as an Ascended Demon (a form he had achieved by preaching a False God that was still technically not a separate being from himself) and now roams the world as such. Trying to find answers for things that he doesn’t know about either.
° [[Extra Info]] °
He is 5’11 and 132 lbs.
The other Archetypes are something of a Deity Pantheon to Michel, The True-Self being the one true god and The Shadow being the Devil in his eyes. He actually does preach the two as those figures in traditional Abrahamic religions, and that’s how he became an Ascended Demon, which should be an indicator of how strong both of them can be if they weren’t caught up with the Archetype stuff.

The True-Self is the side of Michel that influences his action which can be described as good. Understandably, they are very much a do-gooder, with pretty obsessive tendencies to “be on the right side” no matter what. They do sometimes get annoying and childish because of their insistence. They are very soft-spoken and kind, however they still hold a lot of power against the other Archetypes.
They are the part of Michel’s mind that accepted his death penalty after his imprisonment to not deal any harm to family, friends and overall society at the hands of Project Rat.

The Shadow is the side of Michel that influences his actions which can be described as evil. They are inherently chaotic and hedonistic, and they do also have a bit of that immaturity that The True-Self also has. They’re much more stubborn and blunt compared to the kind persuasion of The True-Self.
They’re the part of Michel’s mind that wanted to break out and reveal the reality of Project Rat to the world, even if it would mean that it would cause all of the people near him suffering because of it.

They are the part of Michel’s mind who just wished for an outcome, any outcome after his imprisonment.

The Shadow is the side of Michel that is a representation of his side that is more in touch with the “survival affairs” and will go after them by all means necessary. Similar to The Animus, they cannot speak and make animalistic grunts only. They’re also more “influenced by Michel” rather than “influencing Michel”.
The Shadow is the part of Michel’s mind who wished for nothing but survival in the end.
It’s male… but the French and their prettyboy names, yk? My male Informatique professor is named Elisée
Oh my god… Just found the perfect name for said OC. Étienne, it’s a French name that comes to mean “garland” or “crown” and is also basically the “Stephen” of their language (I mean the saint), and it’s used as such. I’m imagining that they wear some kind of flower-crown like thing that reacts to the environment around them, maybe the flowers wilt if they sense death and flourish if they sense life.
2 indeed, and yes, they're supposed to be like Charon. Except less creepy old man and more creepy... person? Idk really.
And trust me, I’m finishing up Michel
K5, I was wondering if I could make an OC who carries the souls of the dead to their appropriate places after death- Hell, Heaven, stuff like that. They’re not technically a Grim Reaper because they don’t kill, but they have relations with Panthera and used to have relations with Cadmean until he died. They’re more of a middleman.
Hey y'all
That actually reminds me of benchpressing dudebros in an average gym… lmao
If the Rings had soundtracks, I’d imagine the Wrath Ring has the most fucking disgustingly amateurish but still entrancing thrash metal music. As the ambassador of the Sloth Ring, I can say that all that plays down there is the most somber and slow Romantic-era classical music ever (and Nick Cave, sometimes. Look, Joseph’s still learning about human music, leave my man alone)
