Mana seems to be made of 3 sources physical spiritual and mental. But in some cases u can lump spiritual and mental together since the soul is considered the place where consciousness comes from.

With that considered psyhics are people with advance brains able to access the spiritual energies or mental energies of mana. physical aspects in some cases or the psyhic / spiritual would be use to enhance they're physical abilities.

Now for magic users they just seem to have high levels of mana in them especially the spiritual aspect. But since they don't have the advance brains to just access it easily . the magic users has to practice and learn through spells in some cases im heightened emotions may cause an out burst . Now it really becomes magic when u start when u bring in the 3 sources of magic internal external and the extradimensional.

In this the magic user starts out drawing from they're own internal sources of energy. External is when they start to connect they're internal energies with that of the mana/ magical energy of the world around them. Especially when casting spells. It would be like sage mode naruto. Or gwen tennyson using mana or goku using spiritual bomb. Them final extra dimensional where the magic users starts calling on God's demons and other dimensions and universes to Amp they're power like doctor strange willow rosenberg and bayonetta.

Then they're people with both advance brains and high level of mana/mystical energies. They might be practically gods.
