I was affected by Ethereal Chaos, I would most likely cause world peace by greatly augmenting the concepts of fairness, impartiality, kindness and compassion. I wouldn't completely wipe out hate and cruelty, because there needs to be something to regulate kindness and balance it out.

Backstory:

Natalya was a descendant of a god-like sorceress on her mother's side and an ineffable mutant scientist on her father's. Fate just so had it that Natalya inherited the mutant scientist and the transcendent magic genes. Natalya was a young bloomer, her earliest supernatural experience being when she was 7. Natalya remembers it like it was yesterday:

Natalya was with her mother, driving around the town. She was droning on about some kid who had insulted her drawing that day. Her mother cut her off, tearing her eyes off the road, to explain to Natalya the importance of standing up for herself. Natalya's gaze shited toward the road and a car pulled out of a driveway too fast. Natalya shrieked and her mum hit the brakes. The cars abrupt halt lurched Natalya and her mother forward - the only thing keeping them from flying out the window was their seatbelts. Opening her eyes, Natalya gaped at the sight, the car was gone. Disappeared. After receiving an absolute reprimanding from her mother, Natalya was left to wonder where the car went.

Here it is, the worst day of Natalya's life.

Natalya was having a horrible row with her parents. It had escalated from a lecture over some bad grades that Natalya had gotten earlier to a full-blown yelling fit about her future. Natalya was getting angrier with each insult thrown by her parents. A headache was beginning to form in her head. It kept growing and growing while the anger was building up. Soon it became unbearable and Natalya broke down, sending a wave of mystical power throughout the house. Natalya became lightheaded while the magic flattened the walls surrounding her. She shrunk to the ground limp and weak. Blinking her eyes open, Natalya was met with a cloudy dark sky and the sound of footsteps clambering through the wreckage. Natalya could barely process what was happening - there were too many colours, too many people. She was swept up from the floor in one big sweep, and carried from the ruins of her house - but not before she caught a glimpse of her parents, still and cold. This mere scene was enough to cause a string to loosen in her eyes. Had she killed her parents? At 12? This moment of consciousness lasted too short as sleep consumed her body.

Natalya woke up in a cell, still groggy from the previous incident. When Natalya finally woke up, she was left to answer the many questions she had. The one question that kept circling her mind was this: Is she responsible for her parent's death? Like the guard told her? She distracted herself by trying to find a way to escape, but first, Natalya needed solid answers. She tried to coax them out of the guard but to no avail. Natalya formulated a plan in her mind. Natalya would wait until the guard's shift was over. There was a short period between the current guard leaving and the next guard arriving when no one was there - well, except for the security cameras, technicalities. Natalya then used her bobby pins to jimmy the lock. After that, it was (almost) as easy as walking through the door. Natalya used a series of crawls, crouches, sprints, and walks to sneak past the security guard and exit through the back door.

Weeks later, Natalya still had nowhere to stay, she bounced around from place to place avoiding the authorities. This all changed when a seemingly random person approached Natalya and offered her sanctuary. Natalya takes what she could get, and accepted the offer. Natalya made sure to try and learn everything about this mysterious person, just to make sure she wasn't about to get kidnapped. Natalya was shocked beyond words when the stranger arrived at a large house within the forest.

"This is an institution called Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, I suspect you'll be staying here a while"

Natalya was perplexed and couldn't form a proper sentence outside of "Who... are you?" The stranger stopped walking and said:

"I'm a mutant, and according to Cerebro, you are too!"

Natalya's jaw hung open but began to walk with this stranger replying:

"That doesn't answer my question."

They sighed. "I'm Juliette."

Natalya nodded and introduced herself. They made small chat as they walked toward the school. Natalya's mind was racing with a million questions.

Natalya sat in a chair opposite to the founder Professor X. She was listening to him almost absently but was brought back to reality when he said "You are a mutant and you will stay here until you have adequate control over your powers." Natalya was unable to hide the confusion on her face, and Professor X quickly followed up with "I know it's confusing right now, but it will get better. We are a welcoming community." Natalya only vaguely smiled at that. Before she could even acknowledge the statement, Professor rhetorically asked "Shall we give you a tour of our campus?" Natalya stood as a reply. After the tour finished, Professor led Natalya to her chambers.

2 years later (Natalya was 14), Natalya had made a few friends but also enemies at the School. She had suffered from periods of instability where she couldn't control her powers nor her emotions. Natalya had numerous powers emerge, and was deemed a threat during these periods. She underwent extra training to acquire control over herself.

When the opportunity to go to Krakoa came up, Natalya sprung for it. She was tired of being seen as a monster by normal people. A protective place was exactly what Natalya needed. A place to learn safely, a place to explore her powers without endangering anyone else.

• Relies heavily on her powers, doesn't have much skill at physical fighting.

What happened the first time you transformed:

The first time she transformed, Fleur was taking an afternoon walk through town. She was turning into an alley when she began feeling dazed and her eyes clouded over. Her knees buckled and her worldview slumped to the side. Fleur woke up what seemed to be hours later and the streets were empty and the moon had risen in the midnight sky. Her umbrella was still open as she reached to pick it up, her eyes gazed over a puddle. She clamoured back in horror, she looked like a vampiric Medusa. She ran out of the alley but stopped when the soft sound of footsteps reached her ears - a dark hunger set in. Fleur's feet skitted toward the person and as he came into her sight, his blood became all the more visible. A flick of her hand saw his blood reverse as he delved into unconsciousness. In the next second, Fleur's teeth latched onto his neck and only let go once the innocent man had been drained of his blood. Throughout the night she would do the same to any human in her sight, she was insatiable. As the dawn approached her hunger retreated and slowly she became more and more human. Resting against the same alley she had come from, Fleur fell into a vast sleep as she regained her humanity. After she regained her memory from last night, Fleur was horrified at the crimes she had committed last night. She went home immediately narrowly avoiding questions from her worried parents. Fleur had a shower and spent the rest of the weekend trying to work it out.

How long it took to gain control (optional): It took 2 months for Fleur to gain almost complete control over her bloodlust and supernatural abilities.

Will you tell anyone, if so who (optional): Fleur would only tell someone if found out by themselves. Only 3 people know, her parents were the first to find out - they helped her to control it. The other person was her childhood friend, Emily. Emily now makes "maneater" jokes all the time.

What you plan to do with this power:

Fleur plans to do nothing with this power except control it and conceal it. Fleur is generally ashamed of this side of her but finds her supernatural abilities quite fun at times - despite their volatile applications.
