Capabilities
The inner workings of the user's mind differ greatly from what could be considered "normal" or "sane" by the standards of most living things. Possible causes include being descended from an eldritch being, suffering from severe mental problems or being infused with chaotic forces.
This condition has several beneficial effects, as the differences between the mind of the user and normal people give them immunity to mental or dream based powers of all kinds. Powers such as Telepathy or Mind Control will at best, not work on the user, and at worst, backfire. Anyone foolish enough to invade the user's Inner World will find it an uninhabitable deathtrap. Even using Mental Shield Penetration on the user can be dangerous as their thoughts might start leaking and infecting anyone nearby.

Given his weird powers and weird way of life, Uncle Grandpa (Uncle Grandpa) is seen as stupid or crazy at face-value, but the end results of his many adventures imply that he plans everything that happens.
While seen as the dumbest among Berk's riders, Tuffnut Thorsten (How to Train Your Dragon) has surprising skill and talent in a number of various things, like interpreting abstract puzzles, working with fabrics, stone sculpting with Barf and Belch's gas and various other things, implying that he is not dumb so much as a savant in various unconventional ways.
