Users of this ability can take on the traits of an anakim or are one. The anakim are a race of large giants found in Biblical texts, distinct from the more well-known nephilim and often stated to be the direct offspring of Anak, the ruler who gave them their name (who himself is part of the rephaite, another race of demi-giants).
They were feared by the Hebrews for their size and barbaric nature with Joshua managing to drive many of them away with time, but some would retire to other lands and form alliances with the enemies of God, the most famous giant in Biblical lore, Goliath, was a member of the anakim (though he was usually depicted as a fairly "small" giant, likely due to the anakim losing much influence over time).

- Many of them are violent, cruel and of limited intelligence.
- Due to their evil nature and unnatural heritage, they are often depicted as vulnerable to divine heroes, prayers and weapons.
- In works outside the original texts, they would naturally be weak to Giant Slayers.
- Many anakim became smaller over time due to their influence waning and the larger anakim being driven away.
