The archetype of a character who is an ascended spirit. Opposite of Hellspawn Physiology. Variation of an ascended with Spirit or Angelic-Undead Physiology. Often becomes a Guardian.

Capabilities[]

A user of this ability either is or can transform into an ascended spirit, an ascended and sanctified entity who is holy in nature. The are often souls who were on the path of the condemned but found inner peace and were able to escape it. They were doomed individuals who were given the opportunity to absolve their crimes in life and in death or were jovial individuals likened to paragons of virtue throughout their mortal lives.

Being entities of the primordial ether in nature and by right, they too can move between the living world and afterlife with (close to) impunity.

Having been majorly influenced by all the good they'd done in their time on Earth, or likewise compelled to make up for the long list of atrocities committed before they died, the ascended is driven towards acts of compassion and empathy towards the hope or suffering for those whom they knew and/or didn't know amongst the mortal borne. In the case of those forcefully cajoled into redeeming themselves of past misdeeds or selfish design, it is made into a painful mandate driving their actions lest they be punished for their defiance.

Many amongst the ascended often come off as how they appeared to many and themselves when they were once alive. Other times, they come off looking as someone else entirely, appearing in their original form only to themselves.

Regardless, said state radiates a presence that is both calming and inviting, giving the impression of utter serenity in others to the point they do not recognize the individual as anything other than an unassuming wanderer, or as someone whom, while not knowing them, others can trust implicitly; only individuals who can see past this facade are those who possess the true sight.

The ascended act as guardian angels who serve and protect their dignity as honest and earnest individuals by protecting those who cannot protect themselves, either saving and inspiring the innocent or preempting harm to them by punishing the guilty. Wherever they go, the area becomes sanctified by their appearance, bringing incredible luck and greater fortune to the good or the helpless. Ont the other hand, they can inversely, negatively affect more malignant personas as well as characteristically blighted oddities of the world inhabiting the area the blessed spirit in question either occupies or has visited.

Various Good Powers: Angeliques have powers that are largely, if not entirely, used for benefic effect. Like healing, forgiveness, and absolution.

Applications (Detailed)[]

Angelic Source: As an angelique, the user has divine powers, which can be obtained a number of different ways. individual might have been a priest or had a naturally powerful holy lineage, changing them into sacred and/or holy beings. This in turn channel or act as a vessel for a holy effigy, possessing the power and/or soul of an angelic entity, or mimic/steal powers from the divine in question.
- Angel/Deity Soul: Angeliques, while not particularly deified in most regards, retain the almighties quintessence whilst in angelique state/form. Which gives them the power to have the soul of the highest celestial forms of life throughout creation. Control over such properties is difficult; maintaining said control is a must.
- Angelic Aura: Angeliques can surround themselves in sanctified energy. It is largely benefic and more potent than regular auras given that those who are considered saints become the men closest to God.
  - Divine Presence: Given how angeliques are deific-lite beings, their mere presence in an area or proximity, or even around an individual can cause wonderous, benefic things to happen. Such as bringing back lost life or positive alterations to the sanctified soul's surroundings, the effects and causing a variety of odd changes is determined on the nature of the savior's mood, angelic class, or even the bastion of the lights rank/power in heaven. The level of their goodness often reflecting through its naturally produced aura.
- Angelic/Courage/Good/Virtue Empowerment: Angeliques can acquire power from divine sources. Being blessed with virtue and decency through holy items, sacred grounds, or philosophies. Becoming stronger, faster, more durable, etc. when they come in contact with decency and compassion, including of oneself and others, possibly unlocking abilities related to the affinity and enhancing the existing powers.
- Angelic Form: Angeliques are able to enter a semblance better suited for handling the power of the divine; be it powers, traits, likenesses with angelic or divine properties. Thus, enabling users to transcend their basic shortcomings and limitations be they physical, spiritual, mental, and so on.
- Angelic Force Manipulation: Angeliques of this power possesses and is able to utilize strong angelic power.
  - Benefic Force Manipulation: Angeliques can manipulate the force of evil energy and use it to fulfil their desires, whether it be from a dimension, object, or another being.
  - Divine Psionics: Angeliques possesses strong holy abilities which grant them immense psychic power, tapping to infinite/absolute, godly psionic talent. Through such a facet, user capabilities are reminiscent to how much focus and dedication go into practicing their flexibility on top of their usefulness. In some cases, however, Demonic Psionics can rival these utilities.
    - Divine Telekinesis: Angeliques can move, manipulate and otherwise interact with matter using sacred energy/power.
    - Goodness Sense: Angeliques are capable of signifying when in the presence of virtuous or positive inclination within their vicinity.
  - Light Energy Manipulation: Angeliques can create, shape and manipulate light energy, usually drawn from inter-dimensional or other similar sources.
  - Pure Element Manipulation: Angeliques has the ability to manifest and/or control Holy Elements. Divine and Sublime variants of the elements that can enrich, purify, and generally mend or endow either blessings or punishments upon whatever they focus it on.
    - Angelic Energy Manipulation: Angelique can create, shape and manipulate energies that are deific or holy in nature. Able to accomplish any manner of portent deeds provided their power source is potent enough to fuel it.
    - Holy Fire Manipulation: One of the more classical and versatile abilities that an angelique can possess is the ability to command the sacred flame which sparked the genesis of creation.
  - Spiritual Force Manipulation: Angeliques can create, shape and manipulate their own or others' spiritual power, which is generated by every sentient being that possesses a soul, or in places with powerful spiritual influence.
- Angelic Magic: Angeliques are capable of using angelic magic to achieve several feats such as creating, destroying and reconstructing anything, sometimes even to warp reality.
  - White Arts: Angeliques can utilize the light magic, a benign formula of tactics and abilities centered upon lighter shade side of mysticism that typically used for selfless, integral and/or general acts of decency.
- Supernatural Condition: Angeliques possess supernatural capabilities, attributes and aspects that are drastically beyond what is naturally possible. With their condition alone, they can dwarf most beings in their respective universe, being virtually supreme in their existential aspects and attributes.
Divine Conduit: Angeliques are able to gain transcendental power by channeling the essence of saintly or defied sources through their body to gain access to their abilities and knowledge.
- Divine Vessel: Angeliques also act as channels for the holiest of the holy to act and move upon the earthly plane to spread their miracles to those who need it most in the world.
Heaven Manipulation: Angeliques have access to a great deal of Heavens resources, not to mention those who also have contact with the holiest of powers throughout creation. I.e., holy facilities which can only be found within Paradiso or areas touched by its power, such as good people, saintly deeds or even and Holy aspects both conceptual and literal.
Miracle Performing: Angeliques can perform wonders or phenomena in order to cause miraculous things to happen which are considered truly wrong to human understanding.
Natural Weaponry Manipulation: Angeliques, due to the pliability of their spiritual characteristics, can reform their ethereal substance into armaments and utilities, including blades, shielding, darts, talons, etc., and know how to use them.
- Expanded Presence: Being beings of the positive spectrum of quintessence force in the universe, angeliques can broaden their natural senses by seeding their substance into the surrounding ambience to further their sensory range.
- Feather Projection: Angeliques can project feathers, pinions, or flechette's from their bodies, either from the skin or mouth.
- Holy Voice: Angeliques are known to act as the carriers of the word of God. The tunes they can hit with their voices can soothe even the most distraught of souls or shatter mountains.
- Halo Manipulation: Angeliques can (using and manipulating their sacred aura) generate halos, rings, hoops, circlets (vines, grappling cables, ropes, chains, etc.) from themselves, others or any other surface.
- Powerful Touch: Thanks to their Presence, angeliques have potent influence over whatever they touch, either being tactile or remotely affected due to the solipsistic nature of interconnectivity of the item/object they lay hands upon. Passing on the power of their miracle from one affected semblance to the next and that semblance passing off the effect to the next and the next and the next.
- Prehensile Wings: Angeliques can grow prehensile wings adapted to be able to grasp or hold objects.
- Talon Protrusion: Angeliques project/retract razor-sharp claws/talons of energy, bone, metal, keratin, etc., from their fingertips/hands/wrists/fists/feet for various (mostly offensive) purposes.
Wing/Elemental Wings Manifestation: Angelique can manifest wings that grow or are attached to the body allowing flight. They may also protect from rear attacks or detach and re-grow for quick getaways. Even form wings out of elemental forces, whether it be a Plasma, Solid, Liquid, or a Gas and use them for transportation to offensive and defensive purposes such as using them as a shield to block oncoming attacks or slicing/battering the target.

Spiritual Symbiotic Exoskeleton: The angelique often wear their deified souls as sacred protective wear that manifests and materialization differently with each manifestation. This astralkinetic suit tethers one who is normally alive to the border dimensions sandwiched between the living world and the realm of the dead, with its wearer acting as a buffer/revolving door between life and death itself this varies based on user and the universe.
- Astral Manipulation: Angelique shawls can create, shape, and manipulate astral energy, allowing them to project their astral form on the physical plane and to the astral plane and interact there, see spirits, making spirits visible to others, astral trapping and potentially harming the dead.
  - Ectoplasm Manipulation: Armor worn by the angelique can create, shape and manipulate extra-planar energy called ectoplasm, which comes from the roots ektos meaning “outside” and plasma meaning “something formed or molded”, as such it can be understood as a variable-state form of matter-energy coming from planes beyond the physical.
  - Psychic Energy Manipulation: An angelique's protective wears can create, shape and manipulate psychic energy in various ways, including manifesting in material form.
- Essence Manipulation: The shells an angelique can manifest tend to analyze, shape and manipulate the essence for anything, the attribute or set of attributes such as that make substance/matter what it fundamentally is, for anything there is, and which it has by necessity, and without which it loses its identity.
  - Spiritual Force Manipulation: angelique armor can create, shape and manipulate their own or others' spiritual power, which is generated by every sentient being that possesses a soul, or in places with powerful spiritual influence.
- Form Manipulation: Mail of an angelique can create, shape and manipulate the forms of oneself, others or objects to achieve a new appearance, new powers and new auras. They can even transform into other species, and potentially possess any form that can be equipped for any situation.
  - Wellspring Manipulation: The armor of an angelique can tack into and manipulate the life's flow of the universe itself, subtly influencing the lives and deaths of everything/everyone it is connected to. This allows them to decide and script out all the events, meetings/encounters, actions, goals, dreams, etc. if the user is powerful enough.
- Illusive Appearance: Angelique armor can alter the appearance of oneself, and potentially others through the use of illusions, simulating Shapeshifting/Biomorphing.
  - Soul Morph: Angelique armor can morph their form via the souls of elemental spirits of nature, spirits of the long-departed, demons, angels, and deities. They can combine different souls to form new transformations for themselves or use them to create super forms or hyper forms of said synchronized spirit.
    - Adaptive Appearance: The wears the angelique boast can change their appearance/form based on their adaptations, potentially completely changing the way they look either permanently or temporarily based on the user and the adaption in question.
- Possessive Enhancement: Angelique armor can gain or enhance powers through channeling or willful possession of another being, gaining an array of abilities ranging from powers, skills, and possibly memories from the being they are possessed by at the current time, giving them an edge in a majority of situations.
  - Possessive Body: Angelique armor is able to possess others by phasing completely into their bodies, hiding within the bodies of others to possess them.
    - Multilayered Possession: Angelique armor can possess a person while in possession of another. They go into a body then use that body to go into another body. This creates an inception of possession.
- Quintessence Force: Angelique armor can generate their own energy instead of always depending on the energy around them. The power level of the user is based on the power level of its user's suit.
- Shapeshifting: Angelique armor allows the user to shapeshift, changing their form and appearance at will, maybe even transforming and reshaping themselves down to their genetic and cellular structure.
  - Human Disguise: Angelique armor allows the users to take on an ordinary human appearance to blend in with modern society. This power is designed for non-human individuals to hide their non-human traits and appearances to avoid detection.
- Soul Carrier: Angelique armors tend to act as convoys for the spirits of those who have passed on from whatever plane of existence they occupy. Each soul often acting like a power source through which the inherent righteous might of their sheaths can imbibe in in order to better practice the safe ferrying of which to their eternal reward.
  - Collective Intelligence: angelique armor allows the users intelligence to increase when in proximity to others, usually of the same species.
  - Collective Strength: angelique armor allows the users strength increases when they are close to others, especially those of the same species. The more individuals in a group, the stronger the user gets.
  - Collective Unconscious: angelique armor is the collective unconscious will of something. They embody all that thing's unconscious thoughts and desires and act as an impartial executor of its will.
    - Collective Memory: angelique armor is able to access an information pool that contains the memories of one or more persons, enabling them to call on those memories and experiences.
- Soul Manipulation: Angelique armor can create shape and manipulate the soul, the incorporeal and immortal essence of a living thing, souls are usually most obviously present in sentient beings.
  - Phantasm Manipulation: Angelique armor can create, manipulate, and destroy spirits/caviler type souls and their energies. They can induce joy into the hearts of others, use spirits to enact salvation and control the souls of others when they are dead.
