  • Undead Knight

Capabilities[]

The character is a death knight, a horrifically terrifying reanimated adversary fueled by malevolent powers as well as a terrifying blackened hatred for the world they called home in life. Often, former heroes and champions who disgraced themselves in one way or another that tarnished their reputations and stained their code as such become Death Knights.

Death knights are often revitalized either via eldritch or malevolent entities as a form of servile contemporary to these reviled entities. Having been bestowed a plethora of greater powers and skills than what they possessed when alive and in service to purer civilizations under the protection of a chief god or other such holy entities. The death knight will often retain their chivalrous aesthetics while taking on the qualities of a necromancer; whether it is to a limited or broadened degree compared to that or those who resuscitated them varies considerably.

The unique nature a death knight is just as myriad as the circumstances of their past sins to become such; what is constant is that they are often reborn as harbingers of woe and devastation as is their intended function. A death knight's main strength can stem from a host of different elements and factors, such as hatred for their murderers, the number of undead they raised, the loss of a loved one, being forsaken by the order they served, etc.
