"As of this moment, we are all dead.
We go into battle to reclaim our lives.
This we do gladly, for we are Jem'Hadar.
Victory is life!"
― Jem'Hadar creed (Star Trek)

The character is genetically engineered for combat and killing. Variation of One Man Army resulting from a DNA Manipulation that bestowed a Weaponized Body. Not to be confused with Super Soldier.

Also Called[]

  • Biological/Bio Weapon
  • Genetically Engineered Killing Machine
  • Living Weapon

Properties[]

The character is a sentient being, created or genetically modified, for utilization in battle or warfare. These characters have effectively been transformed into forms of sentient weapons, capable of selecting and viciously prosecuting a target on the battlefield. The character will have an organic physiology that has been genetically engineered to maximize its combat potential via heightened senses, greater physical abilities, and integral weapons. The living weapon will likely have faster cognitive processes and enhanced short term memory as compared to humans, but this may be offset reduced capacities for more complex though that would be required for speech, written language, advanced tool usage, or detailed planning.

Unlike super soldiers, the sentient weapon is not created with the intent that it may one day be reintegrated into the parent society. As such the character may have been created without the empathy needed to peaceably interact with other beings, without the appendages to complete routine tasks (such as operate tools common to the civilization), or with an appearance that would terrify or disgust common citizens.

Armies of Genetically Engineered Sentient Weapons will typically be designed for heightened loyalty and obedience to their parent society, particularly where their purpose is in a defensive or security role. However, armies that have been designed for purely offensive purposes may be created without predisposition to servitude. Such sentient weapons can be thrown into a target area to kill and destroy everything, leaving the area persistently uninhabitable for the lifetime of the weapons (or indefinitely if the sentient weapons are capable of reproduction).
