The user either is or can transform into an undead pirate, whether in the form of either a ghost, zombie, revenant or even of the skeletal variety.
Being undead, these incorporeal swashbucklers have had an entire lifetime of experience in piracy and pilfering and have returned from their watery grave for more whether in the form of a curse or because their greed and/or lust for adventure was too great and their physical capabilities are now significantly above a normal, living pirate’s.
