The archetype of a fictional jungle-dweller.

Properties[]

The character is a fictional jungle-dwellers. Despite the name, it has very little to do with tribal societies or people and instead is a kind of fantasy human, often an outsider who has crashed into jungle life at an early age and been raised by the animals or spirits of the jungle. As a result, they gain remarkable superhuman powers that make them legends among both the native societies of the jungle and outsiders.

Associated Powers[]

Variants[]

  • Creature Studies Mastery: An innate understanding of the various predator/prey species of their primal homes and of how best to mind them. I.e., their feeding habits, hunting instincts, how best to deal with them or even training or domestication methods.
  • Esoteric Nature Manipulation: Great knowledge of the hidden side of nature, due to exploring places seldom seen by others.
  • Improbable Weapon Proficiency: Many whom have adapted to the wilds of a savage soil will become incredibly skilled in utilizing anything the land provides as a weapon
    • Weapon Proficiency Touch: An uncanny knack for taking anything be it mundane or not and turning it into a battlement for any situation.
  • Voodoo: While not factually a part of most jungle-dwelling society voodoo (and similar systems) is commonly found in fiction and practiced by witch doctors and similar - having close contact with such individuals means a jungle-dweller may also learn some of these types of magic (depending on setting).

Relationships[]

Flaws/Weaknesses[]

  • Due to having adapted specifically for life within the often-fantastical jungles of fiction they can have considerable difficulty with modern society, thus will come into conflict with those seeking to expand human civilization into the wilderness. They will also often be unable (or unwilling) to adapt to modern/urban life. In various cases, some could be incapable of communication or speak with a broken accent.
