As an archetype, the magician is a user of magic and or a powerful sorcerer or sorceress, wizard, witch, warlock, mystic, occultist, spiritualist, shaman, etc. and are usually humanoid-type beings that represents the art and study of magic. Some of these beings are naturally born with magic, while others gained magic through just the study of it to become magicians. This type of archetype however does not just extend humanoid-type beings alone, other types of supernatural species can also be magicians if they are practitioners of magic or possess magic naturally.
These types of archetypes have been present throughout various mythologies and continues in modern times.

- Tier 2: Magic Mastery: This user can skillfully perform magic.
- Archmage: An extremely powerful mage or magician, sorcerer or sorceress, necromancer, warlock, witch, wizard etc. or humanoid-type beings that possesses the highest forms of magic.
- Meta Magic: This user can change the logic/rules of magic.
- Transcendent Mage: A practitioner of magic who has ascended to or always had a godly state. Users have nearly limitless magical power and can almost effortlessly gain access to power hardly touched by any other mystic.
- Tier 1: Omni-Magic: This user has a magic arsenal and can distort reality with magic on a nigh-omnipotent scale.
- Tier 2: Arcanepotence: This user can manipulate reality and beyond, and can do anything with magic on omnipotent scale.
