The archetype for the characters that possess or have traits of a medium. Variation of Psychic.
Properties[]
As an archetype, a medium is an individual that can perceive, communicate or otherwise interact with the souls/spirits of others. A psychic medium is someone who has the ability to connect to the spirit world and the unseen energy of the world around them. By blending their energy with a spirit person, they perceive information, usually evidence of their lives on Earth. They may use this ability to connect to the deceased and bring their messages to the living. Mediums act as a channel or a bridge between two worlds. A session with a psychic medium can often provide peace and healing to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one or pet. Psychic mediums are also sensitive to the energy of the living and may offer guidance and direction when you have questions about your life path. They can banish entities from an area or summon souls/spirits that will defend them if they were ever to come to harm. They may even have their own soul or spirit enter the different worlds within the afterlife, while having their bodies within the living world entering in a sort of trance-like state. That allows them to return to their body when they're finished with their affairs within the afterlife. A psychic medium may help facilitate a connection between individuals and a passed loved one. When a medium connects in a reading, the user will see, hear, feel, and know information from their loved one and can then relay all of this information to patrons, holding nothing back, even (and especially) if it seems strange. Most information from the spirit world will be evidence of their loved ones' lives. They may share about their personality, occupations, memories, and important events in their lives. Often, they will want to provide hope, encouragement and a message that their loved one is not alone. Psychic mediums maintain that they can tap into the ethereal plane and converse with departed souls, providing solace, closure, and guidance to the living. Through their unique connection, they aim to bridge the gap between our world and the afterlife, offering comfort in times of grief and revealing insights that extend far beyond our mortal existence.
