Also Called[]

  • Altered/Enhanced Clone
  • Altered/Enhanced Copy

Capabilities[]

The character is a modified clone/copy of another being. They are an altered genetic duplicate who was created through scientific or magical means, or through other forms of Replication or Self-Replication power. Unlike doppelgängers, the character was created as a copy of another being and is not simply imitating/mimicking another being. Unlike multipresent clones, the character is a unique being with their own consciousness and soul. Clones will usually have the same physiology as the being from which they are duplicated, but they have been altered in some way. Often the modifications are to make them superior to the original being or to optimize them for a particular task/function. Some modified clones are considered to be meta-humans or super soldiers.

Limitations[]

  • User's genetics may be unstable, resulting in side effects such as:
    • Accelerated Aging: The people who engineered the clone would give the clones a limited lifespan to prevent possible uprisings against their creator.
    • Infertility: The people who engineered the clone could engineer the clone's genetic with terminator genes, preventing the clone from procreating or even being cloned.
    • Emotionlessness: The clones can be engineered to possess no sense of human emotions and thus be nothing more than a biological weapon.
    • Self-Necrosis: The clone's physiology could be unstable to the point of death by breaking down via necrosis/decaying, causing them to painfully be dying out.
    • Multiple personalities: A clone might possess the personality of the person they were clones from as well as their personality traits at the same time.
  • May require Cryogenic Hibernation to suppress the negative effects of cloning/modifications.
  • Clones may be vulnerable to users of Behavioral Inhibition, which can be difficult or impossible to overcome without Free Will Manifestation.
    • In cases where they are controlled with a physical device, the device may have to be physical removed for them to be free.
