The archetype for the characters that possess or have traits of the Necromancer. Opposite of Animancer. Variation of Dark Magician and Evil Sorcerer.

Capabilities[]

As an archetype, the necromancer is a powerful sorcerer or sorceress, witch, warlock and wizard, or even a supernatural being that represents or has studied the dark arts and death magics. These magics and studies of the dark arts are considered the forbidden arts in magical circles and a defilement of Nature. Mostly these types of sorcerers are always considered evil, however on rare occasions this is not always the case.

Necromancers has been present throughout various mythologies and continues in modern times in dark covens.

  • Users of Animancy and similar life-based Magic can counter the user.
  • Robots and Mechanical Beings are immune to necromancy as they have no souls or life force.
  • May have no effect on those who found eternal rest.
  • User can bring back others, but probably not their powers with them.
