Properties[]

As an archetype, oracles, verb ōrāre, "to speak", are seers that provides wise and insightful counsel and prophetic predictions, possessing psychic gifts that include extrasensory perceptions, precognitive and other psionic abilities, as well as powerful divination abilities/talents to gain information of the future through mystical training as oracles have also been known to be sorcerers and sorceresses. Oracles are mostly inspired by deities and varies divine entities that the oracle calls upon to pass on their information they learn to others.

Unlike prophets who are mainly seers to the one god who can become messiahs for mankind if they possess a chosen path, oracles are normally pagan seers who gain visions and knowledge from other gods/goddesses/spirits outside of the Abrahamic faiths, and generally are high priests or priestesses of a particular spiritual path, cult or coven that worships pagan-based entities. However, even in some cases the high priests who aren't oracles can relay the divine messages for the oracles if the oracle chooses not to relay them themselves or is unable to do so due to a variety of reasons. Oracles are highly coveted beings for the information and connection to the divine they possess.

Oracles can also be divine beings themselves known as oracular deities, who are gods of prophecy, divination, oracles and foresight with the ability to show/choose mortal seers as their oracles on earth to see what they see and relay their divine messages.
