As an archetype, a ruler of the skies can be a deity, sky lord or immortal-type being who rules the realm of the skies, also known as the heavens for others. The ruler of the sky will have total control over the clouds, the day and night, the creatures and the stars within the heavens, able to bend the realm to their will. Sky rulers are extremely powerful in their own right, however, can also be subservient to the very rules of the sky depending on the entity and if their able to bend those rules, even making new ones.

Unlike sky lordship. which is just possessing total control over the sky through mental, energy or magical powers, but not necessarily it's actual ruling master. Whereas the sky ruler is the reigning master of the realm above the earth and sits as monarch through royalty, divine selection or even through a curse, who will also possess extremely powerful abilities over the realm as it’s ruler.
