As an archetype, the spirit advisor is a spirit-like entity whose purpose is most often to provide advice, guide and assist living beings and even act as a moral compass all from beyond the grave to those they appear to and will possess a variety of spiritual-based powers to aid them in helping their charges, family members, friends, etc., and even similar type victims to like how the spirit guide died in life. Spirit Advisors or spirit guides will always appear when needed even if it is completely unknown that they are there.
These types of entities can even dwell within the minds of others, being thought of as just your imagination playing tricks on you or a hallucination.
