Properties[]
As an archetype, The Umbramancer or shadowmancer is a sorcerer(ess), a mage, witch or wizard, or it even a supernatural being that represents or has studied the mystic arts and is usually naturally gifted with darkness/shadow/lunar/night magics, or learns them, or even just possesses darkness/shadow-based powers and learns the mystic arts later. These types of magicians are considered very powerful and even rarer in magical circles than most elemental sorcerers. Mostly, these types of sorcerers are always considered evil or neutral; however, on rare occasions, this is not always the case.
These types of sorcerers should not be confused with the studiers of the dark arts, Dark Magicians, Evil Sorcerers or Necromancers. Just because the umbramancer is a steadier of the element of darkness and shadows this does not always guarantee them to be a type of evil Sorcerer, merely an elemental mage.
