- "The Blue Morpho is a bad guy!"
- ― Don Fitzcarraldo (The Venture Bros)
- "Honor? Is that what you are all talking about? Then let us speak instead of our duty to the Gotei 13. Honor will not protect the world. I do not believe that using evil to defeat evil is itself an evil act. Don't try to be a good kid. Whether it's a loan or a debt, from the moment a war starts, both sides are evil."
- ― Shunsui Kyoraku (Bleach)
- "Think I'm going soft, do you? Give it a rest, Croco-bum. I'm only human, and every human has a heart no matter how large or small. People can call me a monster all they want, but the reality is I can't be the strongest pirate forever. If I can save this one young man's life, I'll have earned the right to retire from this world once and for all."
- ― Edward Newgate/Whitebeard (One Piece)
- "A hero? Hell no!"
"But why!?"
"Obviously because we're pirates! C'mon! Heroes are great, but I'm not one! Seriously, do you even know what you're asking me to do? Let's say there's a chunk of meat, right? Pirates love a banquet and dig right in, but a hero would give it to other people instead of eating it. Screw that! My meat is mine!" - ― Monkey D. Luffy describing his idea of being a hero to Jinbe (One Piece).
