As an archetype, a wisdom deity, a god/goddess who represents or is associated with wisdom, knowledge and life experiences. Though similar, this is not to be confused with Knowledge Deities solely, as not all are as wise as wisdom deities are. Wisdom deities possess the experience of knowledge. Wisdom deities were fairly common in mythology and important among ancient and current civilizations in which they were present.
