Capabilities[]
Users possess and can enter a berserker form; a ferocious, extremely, and usually more powerful and dangerous state of being where the user becomes filled with rage and bloodlust and becoming completely devoid of rationality and sensibility. This form is associated with changes in physical appearance where one adopts a more monstrous or animalistic form. Users also typically gain enhanced physical traits and even new abilities.
However, almost all users will have one thing in common: an insatiable thirst for battle. In their berserk form, users will usually attack anything and everything they perceive, also going for the strongest target in their vicinity in some cases. Some users will stay in this state until their target is destroyed or will continue rampaging until they run out of energy to maintain their transformation or die in some cases.
With training, users may be able to gain control of themselves and their forms. When mastered, users can shift back and forth at will and harness their power and form to their advantage.

Limitations[]
- The ability may be temporary due to the emotional/power overload, usually self-destructive and/or with a severe backlash at the end.
- May not be able to tell friend from foe while in the berserk state, and may risk accidentally hurting or even killing allies, friends or loved ones.
- Users who fall into such madness may be stuck that way.
- Users may fall victim to berserk brew triggering their form against their will.
- Induced serenity may be able to calm the user.

As a Kishin, Tenmei Mikogami (Rosario + Vampire) is a nigh-unstoppable berserker when in battle, which is why he usually keeps his powers sealed.
Whenever Rick Taylor (Splatterhouse series) absorbs blood from the Corrupted, he is able to enter a Berserker form that grants him all of the powers of the Terror Mask.

Zofis was able to keep Demolt's (Konjiki no Gash!!/Zatch Bell!) savagery suppressed with his mind control abilities, but when Demolt's bookkeeper, Roberto Vile unleashed the Girugadomu Barusuruku spell, Demolt was freed from Zofis' control and started rampaging.
Girufadomu Barusuruku is a forbidden spell that turns Riou (Konjiki no Gash!!/Zatch Bell!) into a giant monster. He has no control of himself in this form and attacks allies and enemies alike.
The Demon World king gave Koruru (Konjiki no Gash!!/Zatch Bell!) a ferocious personality that is unleashed and attacks without mercy when Shiori reads the Zeruku spell.

By entering a state called Warrior's Madness, Thor (Marvel Comics) sacrifices his sanity to gain a ten-fold increase in strength and power.
During the Riot of the Blood state, Iori Yagami (The King of Fighters) has a raw, animal-like mentality, only able to speak a few words. He has a single-minded obsession with killing Kyo while in this state, to the point that he keeps screaming his name when he is not even present, but he will attack anyone in his path.
During the Riot of the Blood state, especially with Orochi's heightened presence, Leona (The King of Fighters) goes berserk and will attack anyone on sight.
Legendary Super Saiyan (Dragon Ball series) is an extremely powerful and rare Super Saiyan transformation that appears once every thousand years alongside the users. As a Berserk state, this transformation seemingly has an endless supply of energy.
During a battle with Tres Magia, Hiragi Utena/Magia Baiser (Mahou Shoujo ni Akogareta/Gushing Over Magical Girls) is corrupted by her Lust self and assumes "ugliest flower" form. In this form, Utena seems to have little to no sapience, simply acting without speaking and attacking whoever she sees, not discriminating friend from foe.
