The members of the Watchers' Council (Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel) are masters in monster studies, knowing all things regarding vampires, demons, werewolves, and the like.

Koushiro "Izzy" Izumi and Joe Kido (Digimon Adventure) have devoted a significant amount of time to the study of Digimon, eventually setting up a research team to study more of the Digital World.

The Monster Makers (Digimon Tamers) are experts on Digimon and the Digital World, being the creators of both.

Dr. Diggins (Fossil Fighters) is an expert on Vivosaurs, and the creator of the revival machine that creates them.

Pokémon Professors (Pokémon) are experts on Pokémon in their respective region, and are incredibly adept at understanding their behavior, abilities, weaknesses, and anatomy.

The Men of Letters (Supernatural) possess knowledge and study of monsters and the supernatural beyond that of even veteran hunters; among other things, they knew how to destroy Soul Eaters when conventional lore and experienced hunter Bobby Singer believed it to be impossible.

Will Byers (Stranger Things) could sense the monster's influence, even after being exorcised from him. This usually manifested as a strange sensation on the back of his neck, whenever the monster was active or in close proximity. He described the sensation as though he were in a rollercoaster drop, only much more colder and scarier. As he was not possessed, he was able to use this ability to great extent in 1985 to stop the fragmented Mind Flayer in his new form.

Hiccup Haddock (How To Train Your Dragon) is one of the smartest Vikings who ever lived and knows almost everything about dragons, including the ones who are new to the world. He was also the first dragon rider of Berk and the only one who trained the legendary Night Fury, Toothless.
