"Oh, and I have waited an eternity for a man of your strength, your gifts, your will. A man worthy of the dark and all its powers."
― Master Vampire (Dracula Untold)
"Greetings, great warrior. I sense there is a dark rage burning within you, and in time, it'll destroy you with its madness. Only the last power of the Precursors can save you. Destroy my enemies, those creatures that you call the Metal Heads. Bring me 25 of their skull gems and I will teach you how to control these powers."
― Oracle to Jak (Jak II: Renegade)

  • Darkness Energy/Power
  • The Power of Darkness

Capabilities[]

Users wield an extraordinary dark power; a primeval and essence of cosmic balance from which they derive a myriad of abilities rooted to the source of darkness. In all its power, this fundamental element is a wellspring of shadow, encompassing realms both mundane and esoteric natures, which inherently opposes all things light. Through their mastery of darkness, users command extraordinary capabilities associated with the obscurity of the unknown, channeling and harnessing these dark forces to their advantage.

Dark powers can originate within the depths of the users themselves. By tapping into their inner darkness, they tap into a well of potential that enables them to interface with the broader reality of dark forces existing beyond their being. This inherent connection imbues them with an innate affinity for these forces, bestowing them with immense strength and supernatural abilities derived from the very essence of darkness.

The boundless nature of darkness can offer diversity in the forms it can take, granting users access to an array of powers. By harnessing the powers of darkness, users can utilize various manifestations of darkness, each bestowing distinct abilities. These can range from those rooted in malevolence and corruption to even beneficial forms that hold constructive, empowering, or even sacred qualities—an embodiment of the user's intrinsic disposition.

Unlike inner darkness which is an internal aspect, which involves utilizing one's own inner darkness, dark power reach to the realm of external forces. This attribute elevates the user's proficiency, enabling them to draw upon both internal and external sources of darkness, amplifying their might. Through the intricate interplay between inner and outer forces of darkness, users become conduits of a profound, multifaceted power.
