The power to decide, determine and manipulate the cause of death. Sub-power of Necroscience and Biological Manipulation. Opposite to Life Manipulation. Not to be confused with Death-Force Manipulation.

  • Death Control
  • Thanatokinesis
  • Necrokinesis

Capabilities[]

The user can exert control over the very essence of death, bending its forces to their will. With a simple thought, they can sever the thread of life, extinguishing a being’s existence in an instant. Their presence alone may instill a sense of inevitable demise, an unseen force pressing down on those around them as if the weight of the grave itself had settled upon their shoulders.

Beyond merely taking life, the user commands the decayed and departed, summoning the dead to rise from their rest. These reanimated beings move according to their master’s will, their empty eyes glowing with an eerie light, bound by forces beyond mortal comprehension. The user may whisper to lost souls, calling them from the veil of the afterlife, either as guides, informants, or tormented wraiths forever tethered to the world of the living.

Where their influence spreads, vitality withers. Plants shrivel into dust, flesh rots with unnatural speed, and once-sturdy structures crumble as if years of decay had passed in mere moments. This power allows them to drain the lifespan of others, siphoning away the years like sand slipping through an hourglass, leaving victims aged, weakened, or lifeless husks.

The user can also determine and manipulate the causes of death, allowing them to choose and control when, how, where, and why someone dies. Whether by an unavoidable accident, an incurable disease, or a perfectly timed event, they can shape fate itself, weaving the threads of mortality to orchestrate the circumstances that lead to a target’s appointed demise. A sudden heart attack in a moment of triumph, a seemingly random but fatal misstep, or an elaborate chain of events that ensures an inevitable end—each outcome unfolds precisely as the user wills it, as if the universe itself conspires to carry out their decree.

Death is not merely an end—it is a force, a cycle, an ever-present truth that the user may navigate at will. They might glimpse the final moments of a person’s life, foreseeing their inevitable fate or altering its course entirely. Some can even step beyond the boundary of the living, crossing into the realm of the dead, where they walk among spirits and entities that exist beyond mortal comprehension.

At their most terrifying, the user may reverse the natural order itself, drawing a soul back from oblivion and restoring life to those long lost—though such an act may come at a cost, as the dead rarely return unchanged.

To wield death is to hold dominion over one of the most natural forces of the world, a power feared and revered in equal measure. Whether they serve as a grim reaper, guiding souls to their destined end, or a tyrant who bends the laws of mortality to their own ambition, their touch forever lingers on the fragile thread between life and oblivion.
