The power to have the traits and abilities of demigods. Variation of Hybrid Physiology. Combination of Mortality and Deity.

Also Called[]

  • Demigod Mimicry
  • Demigoddess Mimicry/Physiology
  • Half-Deity/God/Goddess Mimicry/Physiology

Capabilities[]

The user can gain the powers and traits of demigods; beings who are part-god and part-mortal, possessing a partial, or lesser form of divinity that they gain by either through inheriting or by unlocking a dormant power in a species.

Demigods are famously known for having powers of that of the gods themselves because of their abilities some because they are the offspring of a god and a mortal, however some but not all of the powers of a god due to their mortality. However most demigods can obtain their divine status after death ascending their divine spark achieve a higher status to that of an actual deity, although this may require the action of a real deity and is usually accomplished after physical death.

Types of Demigod[]

There are three forms of this power, with the user being able to assume only one:

  • Type I: Minor deities that are the weakest in the hierarchy of divine beings, also called "Physical Deities" due to the fact that they are usually limited to physical form. (This type of demigods are similar to powerful Meta-Humans.)
  • Type ll: Mortal-God hybrids: people born from the union of a divine being and a mortal, who inherit this power from their divine parent. They may gain powers associated with their divine parent's domain, or a domain of their own, or just powers generic to divine beings.
  • Type III: Mortals who somehow became beings with power that approaches that of the gods even though they are not gods themselves, or that gained type I or II.

Applications[]

  • Death Transformation or Divine Resurrection (varies, through their own powers or with the help of their godly parent)
    • Almighty Ascension: Can ascend and gain virtual omnipotence surpassing cosmic entities, deities, supernatural beings, and many other forces by using several means to achieve unparalleled power, becoming a nigh-omnipotent being. Becoming a transcendent demigod normally of lesser beings compared to actual Deities being way above them, a common archetype in all Half-Gods. However, Transcendent Demigods are the direct opposite of this notion.
  • Divinity: Users can gain divinity by having a divine ancestry, transform into a deity either by another god or by faith, channels act as a vessel for, the power/soul of a deity, mimic/steal powers from a deity, be enhanced/evolved to the point of godhood, or just being a divine being in the first place.
    • Deity Soul: Users of this ability are not gods in human bodies, rather their spiritual essence is divine or godlike in origin. The user has supernatural abilities on a god-like level. Some users of this power might be in a dormant state due to being suppressed by a higher being or by having to be awakened by a certain event.
    • Divine Spark: This can develop into full Divinity depending on how much of the divine spark the demigod possesses or if their divine parent rewards them in the afterlife if they die.
  • Enhanced or Supernatural Condition
  • God Inheritance: If the user has godly parents and powers may be linked to them (ex: If Zeus is your father you would get control over lighting).
  • Superpowered Physiology: Users are beings with superpowers, special or extraordinary superhuman abilities that are greater than what is considered normal, granting them a superior status in mind and/or body that make them greater than that of the average member of their species. In many cases, the user is also able to gain tremendous powers of highly advanced levels.
    • Enhanced Physiology: The user either become an empowered subject with powers and abilities that were not gained from birth, or which were gained at birth but were not naturally evolved in their race/species. Empowered races can possess powers and abilities without their physiology being or almost altered.
  • Type I: Powers of the minor deity depend upon both the pantheon to which they belong and the deity they serve (if any): if they serve others, their power tends to be a lesser variant of that of their master, or a very specific one. If they do not serve others their powers tend to be in a sphere that is unimportant for the pantheon as a whole.
  • Type II: Users with divine parentage may have any of the following:
    • Powers derived from their divine parent's domain.
    • No domain, but powers generic to divine beings.
    • No superhuman powers. Their divine relatives may help them, but they are otherwise normal.
  • Type III: Those who become demigods by their own effort may gain just about any abilities, given that they usually were powerful individuals even before their ascension; some possibilities including:
    • Ethereal Body: Gain a body that is completely composed of pure Aether.
      • Energy Perception: Possess a perception of the energies that flow through Creation.
      • Extrasensory Perception: Will develop an incredible sixth sense.
      • Flight: Will gain the ability to defy gravity and fly at supersonic speeds.
      • Higher Consciousness: Achieve a consciousness beyond the level of mortal man.
      • Immortality: Become immune to aging, and live indefinitely without food, drink, sleep, or air.
      • Supernatural Condition: Have the highest physical/mental condition that only a half-god can possess.
      • Divine Magic: Use the art of magic to invoke the power of "divine beings".
