The user can create, shape and manipulate distortion, an alteration or remodeling of the original shape of an object, image, signal, sound, waveform or even perception. The overall concept deals with causing a target to be twisted out of form and proportion to its original nature. It can come in many forms and affect all sorts of targets. Physical distortions can warp material figures into unfamiliar shapes. Distortions to signals can alter various digital and/or energetic phenomena like sounds, electrical connections or light-dependent pictures. Controlling perception distortions can allow one to manipulate a target’s actions and thoughts. Regardless of origins or design, this power allows one to create, augment, change the properties of, reduce or even outright remove distortions. Depending on the type, one can potentially gain control over any type of energy, force or matter.
While similar, Deformation Manipulation tends to deal with purely physical alterations caused by mechanical forces.
