The power to use the abilities of Dogū. Variation of Art Physiology, Inanimate Object Physiology and Statue Mimicry.
Also Called[]
- Dogū Physiology/Form
- Earthen Idol Physiology/Mimicry/Form
Capabilities[]
User with this ability either is or can transform into a dogū, a clay or stone idol originating from the Jōmon period of prehistoric Japan believed to be made as protective idols, effigies and good luck charms to ward off things like illness and misfortune or to bring about something desirable such as using dogū as fertility idols to induce fertility or successful births.
Although Dogū vary wildly in appearance, the most prominent form that these clay idols take are that of humanoid figures with distinct, goggle-like eyes, stumpy limbs, circular mouths and crown-like headpieces or crests.
Conspiracy theorists believe that Dogū could be evidence of “ancient astronauts” and that the dogū could be representations of alien beings that visited ancient civilizations, citing the consistent design motifs that many dogū examples share and their overall appearance being reminiscent of space suits as evidence to this claim.
