Amaterasu (Ōkami series) is able to gain elemental abilities through training and learning Celestial Brush techniques, such as learning Waterspout from the water goddess, Nuregami.

Capabilities

The user can utilize the Elemental Arts, a specialized system of techniques based around elemental power. The user is able to wield a skill set that is focused on the cultivation and manipulation of natural forces (fire, water, earth, air, lightning, etc.). The elements can be derived from outside sources or from within the user’s body. Whatever the origins, the training allows one to wield them in a variety of ways that are usually based upon the unique nature of the element being channeled. This can include martial art skill, defensive capabilities and bodily modification.

Richter Belmont (Castlevania) via his magic can manipulate fire, ice, & lightning.
