Because it is powered by Coral, the IA-02: ICE WORM (Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon) can use it for its Primary Shield and Secondary Shield.

Once enough energy was collected, the Iron Curtain (Command & Conquer: Red Alert) could coat the targeted vehicle with the Iron Curtain effect, making it impervious to harm for a short amount of time. A nasty side effect of the device was that infantry inside a transport vehicle were killed when such vehicle was made invulnerable, and infantry and dogs were also killed if they were on land...

...This version of the Iron Curtain device (Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2) is an advancement of its predecessor, as it can target up to 9 units for a longer time (50 seconds) and with a shorter cooldown, and can also affect structures. It can also coat the targeted transport vehicles with infantry inside with the Iron Curtain effect without killing them. However, it can still kill infantry and dogs if they are on land...

...In the alternate timeline, the Iron Curtain (Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3) has the similar function to its original timeline counterpart.
