"Dammit, how did they see me?! That is so unfair! They don't have any eyes!"
― Gordon Freeman, as he notices that the Zombies actually spotted him. (Freeman's Mind: Episode 5)

The ability to have vision despite having no eyes. Semi-opposite to Multiple Eyes. Sub-power to Faceless Perception.

Also Called

  • Deceptive Eyelessness
  • Eyeless Vision
  • Physiological/Supernatural Eyelessness

Capabilities

The user with this ability can see despite lacking eyes. Having no eyes is normally perceived as a defect, but this is not always the case, as this form of eyelessness is a power in terms of origin due to not only giving the subject the immunity to blindness-inducing sources and having their vision obliterated, but despite possibly having their old vision lost upon retrieval, a new kind of sight will then begin to manifest that allows them to see, but not in the same way other subjects do.

Unlike the former kind of eyelessness which is a genetic defect (which does guarantee in permanent blindness), the latter eyelessness is deceptive to not only perhaps unnerve certain people, but also possibly give them the wrong ideas that the user is sightless upfront, which can give the owner of this power to gain certain advantages over opponents, at least during the first time around.

Limitations

  • May take some time for the new vision to kick in.
    • Even if that happens in the meantime, the user will still not be able to see during this period, making them scared and confused about what's going on.
