The trait of being reborn continually due to personal karma, one of the most common type of Reincarnation.
Also Called[]
- Karmic Reincarnation
Capabilities[]
Those subjected to Karmic Rebirth will be reincarnated upon physical death in a reality or life dictated by their previous good or bad deeds in life, without any external forces at work.
This means an individual's own actions change their lot in the next life, often an individual has no means of escaping this cycle (forgetting their previous life upon each rebirth) but some individuals can progressively learn to change their own karma and thus obtain a state of liberation from rebirth, this is core to many belief systems such as Buddhism and Jainism but can also be found in numerous fictional works.
The key principle of this trait is all karma (good or bad) is entirely due to an individual, no external force (such as a deity or karma-altering entity) can change the karma of these individuals, it is thus seen as the responsibility of these individuals to free themselves, rather than seek salvation from another.
