- "For a brief moment, I attained absolute knowledge; Godhood! Now it's all gone."
- ― Lex Luthor (Justice League Unlimited)
The power to enter a state of near omnipotent for a set time or to combat a specific threat. Variation of Nigh-Omnipotence.
Also Called[]
- Deus Ex Machina
- Victory Mode
Capabilities[]
Users with this ability can enter a state of nigh-omnipotence that lasts only long enough to deal with a specific threat or cataclysm, as well as granting them assured victory via empowering them just as much as needed to achieve these goals (never more, never less).
Through the use of this power a character (usually a hero but can also be anti-heroes or villains forced into an act of "greater good" or self-survival) becomes completely invincible, more akin to a living plot device, they may also gain whatever knowledge they require to fix an event or stop an opponent, however as soon as their opponent is defeated or the threat they were tasked with stopping is ended they will rapidly lose their vast cosmic status and return to their usual level of power.
Applications[]
- Nigh-Omnipotence (For a set time-limit or until an immediate threat or instability is dealt with.)
- Temporary Invincibility
- Victory Inducement
Associations[]
Limitations[]
- Always has a set time-limit or only activates to combat a specific threat or instability.
- The power will always be just enough to assure completion of a task, never more and never less.
- May damage some users due to the sheer power involved.
- May not be able to dictate the phenomena manifested.
