Capabilities[]
The user can create, shape and manipulate orichalcum, a legendary reddish, pink-hued or even golden precious metal said to have been mined in Atlantis. It was second only to gold in value. Debate ranges with regards to its actual chemical nature. Some have considered it to be another name for platinum or some type of copper-based alloy due to some archaeological discoveries of ancient metal ingots.
Fictionally, the substance has been shown to exhibit supernatural abilities. Depending on the universe being referenced, the metal is either obtained via ore extraction or through alchemic alloy creation practices. Through refining operations, it can be made into supernaturally dense material, used for creating the strongest weapons and armor. These tools can be particularly effective in dealing with supernatural opponents that are resistant to ordinary weapons. In its natural state (as a found substance) orichalcum is said to possess inherently mystical energies. It can enhance one’s magical abilities or be used to augment potions and spells. Similar to the Philosopher’s stone, orichalcum, as an alloy or natural metal, acts as a preternatural enrichment substance.

Limitations[]
- May be unable to create orichalcum, being limited to manipulating only from already existing sources.
- Distance, mass, precision, etc. depend upon the knowledge, skill, and strength of the user and their power's natural limits.
- Orichalcum may be affected by everything that normal metals would be, although the user is perfectly able to use their power to return the metal to its original shape and/or controlling it even under these forces:
- Melt under extreme heat (Fire Manipulation or Magma Manipulation).
- Turn brittle and shatter under extreme cold (Freezing).
- Can be rusted (Water Manipulation or Rust Manipulation).
- User may be limited to manipulating the orichalcum which makes up their bodies.
- Extremely vulnerable to Electricity Manipulation as metal conducts electrically.
- May be weak against Magnetism Manipulation, although some metals (such as gold) are not magnetic.
- May only be able to channel and/or augment certain types of magic.
