The power to generate beams of heat from one's eyes. Sub-power of Heat Attacks. Variation of Heat Beam Emission and Optic Blasts. Not to confused with Fire Vision.

Also Called[]

  • Calokinetic Vision
  • HBEB (Heat-Beam Eye Blast)
  • Heat-Eye Beams/Blasts/Lasers
  • Heat-Laser Vision/Eyes
  • Ocular Heat Emission
  • Optic/Optical Heat Beams/Blasts/Lasers
  • Optic/Optical Heat Ray
  • Martian Vision (DC Comics)
  • Beams From His Eyes (My Hero Academia)

Capabilities[]

User is able to generate concentrated, immense amount of heat from their eyes, which can be used to burn, heat, melt, weld, etc., targets. Masters of this power may turn it into/gain Incineration (or vice versa) which is a very similar power.

Applications[]

  • Burning: A specific target receives a focused burn causing pain and scarring.
    • Cauterization: Able to seal up any open wounds and sever injuries with intense heat to prevent severe blood loss and infections.
  • Combustion Inducement: Generating enough heat onto matter will cause it to ignite.
    • Detonation: A highly-concentrated direct hit of intense heat can cause volatile destruction.
    • Fire Starter: A short focused burst on kindling can start a small fire or large waves of heat could burn down a forest.
    • Warming: Gentler waves of heat useful for more delicate tasks, such as heating up food.
  • Cutting: User can cut through any solid matter with immense amount of heat.
  • Disintegration: Immense levels of heat can be used to complete annihilate any inanimate objects and/or living beings, reducing them to dust and ash.
  • Inflammation: User fires uncomfortable heat at target in an attempt to force them to retreat lest they suffer injury.
  • Fusing/Welding Torch: Direct intense heat fired between two targets causing them to melt and fuse together.
  • Melting: Intense heat fired at a specific area can cause water or any other element to melt.
  • Optic Blasts: Large amounts of heat directed over a wide area cause the hot air to escape making a wind gush.
  • Transitional Phasing Beam: One can actually control the movements of his or her heat vision such as making them travel in straight lines, curve, bend, twist, or even turn at will by making the rays and beams going into several directions at once the user desires. The user can also make them travel much longer and make absolute accuracy and marksmanship for long-range and long-distance attacks. They could even travel at incredible speeds and reach multiple targets with great precision and accuracy.

Limitations[]

  • May cause damage to the user over extended period of usage.
  • Ineffective against Heat Resistance and Heat Immunity users.
  • Users with Invulnerability can put their hands over the user's eyes while he uses heat vision causing serious damage.
  • User may be unable to masterfully control, generating involuntary attacks.
  • If the user's eyes are either decommissioned or put out of use, they won't be able to use this power.
  • Beams can be reflected by some materials such as mirrors
  • Can be mastered by users with Freeze Vision.
  • Can be overpowered by another user of laser beams with greater heat than the user on the heat spectrum.
    • The heat of the laser beams may exceed the user's thermal resistance threshold, resulting in injuries.
