- "They descended. I tried to count them, as the landed, and I failed. I had thought that there were hundreds of them, but I might have been wrong. There might have been twenty of them. There might have been a thousand. Perhaps they were from some place where such things as counting didn't apply, somewhere outside of time and numbers."
- ― The Narrator describing the Hunger Birds (The Ocean at the End of the Lane)

Capabilities[]
The user can create or summon large forces to overtake an entire area and to overwhelm an enemy with vast numbers. The user may create such a force through Replication of one or a few individuals, or through Self-Replication. The large force may or may not be connected through a Hive Mind. The strength of the resulting horde is associated with the very large quantity of summoned/created/replicated fighters and is not necessarily reflective of any coordinated actions or tactics. Individual members of the hoard/swarm are usually treated as expendable.
Variations[]
- Army/Horde/Swarm Summoning - Power implemented through Summoning or Minion Summoning.
- Army/Horde/Swarm Creation - Power implemented through Entity Creation or Army Creation.
