The user with this ability either is or can transform into a Kanedama (lit. "money spirit"), a yokai spirit depicted in the Konjaku Gazu Zoku Hyakki by Toriyama Sekien. It is described as the essence of the metal element in the form of gold koban coins that reside in houses of pure-hearted people and despise corrupted people.
