Capabilities[]
User with this ability either is or can transform into a kresnik (krsnik, krusnik), the antithesis and immortal enemies of vampires they refer to as kudlak. Their power is considered to be far superior to even the eldest of vampires.
Kresniks, unlike vampires, are natural creatures to balance out the destructive nature of vampires. Though kresniks have the power to wipe vampires out completely they understand that vampires are not necessarily evil, but destruction and balance must be maintained. Often in mythology a kresnik is seen as a pure white creature while a kudlak (vampire) is seen as a dark tainted creature.

Kresniks vary depending on the media, such as being depicted as a more powerful breed of vampire in Trinity Blood.
