"He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."
― John 8:44
"Lying is a skill like any other, and if you want to maintain a level of excellence, you have to practice constantly."
― Elim Garak (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)
"Tell me, Light. From the moment you were born, has there ever been a point in your life where you've actually told the truth?"
― L to Light Yagumi (Death Note)

Ha, fool. I don't need you anymore, so I might as well enjoy finally telling you the truth. I only ever had a way to temporarily keep your transformations at bay. There is no full cure. There never was. Why would I waste the resources to develop a cure for someone as disposable as you? - Norman Osborn/Dark Goblin to Curt Connors/The Lizard (Marvel's Spider-Man)

Capabilities[]

The user, either innately or through training, is a master of lying, either through words, or actions. The user, with enough precision and skill, can even deceive those who are perceptive or with Lie Detection.

Applications[]

Associations[]

Limitations[]

  • May require a degree of training or exposure.
  • May take time to achieve mastery.
  • May be countered by Lie Detection.
  • Those with high intelligence can see through their lies by assuming the holes in their stories.
  • Might get caught up in their lies where the user might have to do something they lied about to be convincing.
  • The user might need to keep track of how many lies they told, telling the same story with a different variant will lead them to figure out the truth.
