"Most fighters wear armor to protect themselves from their opponent, but I'm the opposite. I actually wear this armor to protect my opponent from myself."
― Bui (Yu Yu Hakusho)
"Limit off!"
― Shin releasing his limiter by activating Linchpin (The New Gate)
"No more holding back. Risk 4: Releasing the numberless seal – leaving human territory. Rapidly renewing myself using a trio of great beings."
― H.T. Trismegistus releasing the seal of Transcendence (Toaru Majutsu no Index)
"I feel like I live in a world made of cardboard. Always taking constant care not to break something. To break someone. Never allowing myself to lose control even for a moment, or someone could die. But you can take it, can you, big man? What we have here is a rare opportunity for me to cut loose and show you just how powerful I really am."
― Superman to Darkseid (Justice League Unlimited)

The ability to remove limiters placed on a person in order to release their full potential. Sub-power of Limit Manipulation. Opposite to Limitation Inducement.

Also Called[]

  • Limit Break/Breaking/Release/Removal
  • Limiter Break/Breaking/Release
  • Suppressor Break/Breaking/Release/Removal

Capabilities[]

The user can release/remove the limitations that are usually placed onto the body and abilities in order to prevent them from suffering the strain of their full power, or to protect the surrounding area from the destructive potential. By disabling these suppressors, the user can gain access to this full potential.

Restraints can range from taking off heavy weights or other such limiters worn on the body to forcefully disabling the body's subconscious of holding back.

Applications[]

Variations[]

Limitations[]
