The user can give magic to others, either permanently or temporarily.

Genie (Aladdin), compelled to use his power to grant wishes, was able to turn Jafar into a powerful sorcerer and even a fellow genie.
Being the only thing that can kill the Dark One, the Dark One's Dagger (Once Upon a Time) bestows the curse of the Dark One onto the user upon its use, including all of the powers that comes with it.
Garnet (Steven Universe) can temporarily grant others future vision through a kiss.
