The power to utilize practices that are mystical in nature. Variation of Supernatural Arts.
Also Called[]
- Mysticism Techniques
Capabilities[]
The user can utilize the Mysticism Arts, a specialized system of techniques based around mystic power. Mysticism is a path of self-ascension where practitioners, through religious observance or individual experience, seek union with the universal absolute. This could be some form of deity, spirit or the actual cosmos. It allows one’s mind, soul or even their physical being to reach their zenith. Seeking truth requires an individual to come to terms with their true self. This can come from practices like chanting, meditation or even offering oneself to outside forces, i.e., channeling. There are many disciplines related to the mystic path depending on the tradition or universe. They can be magical (mana-related, spells), spiritual (soul-related, otherworldly spirits) or connected to divine and/or religious practices (divine force, prayers, worship). Through recognition of one’s inherent nature and surrendering to the unity, one can acquire secret knowledge and supernatural power.
Mysticism Arts can be exceptionally perilous. In the quest to attain oneness, a practitioner can lose their sense of self, their mind or their soul. The universal aspect they seek may overwhelm or destroy them. Without preparation, resolve or necessary experience, users may lose their way or even their life. If, however, an acolyte is properly developed, they can wield profound abilities. They can exhibit divine wisdom and insight, channel cosmic power, manipulate their surroundings or transcend their natural limitations to attain their highest level of being.
