Capabilities

The user can manipulate neurochemistry, the scientific field that deals with various atoms, molecules and overall chemicals that are involved in the processes of the nervous system. While this entails many types of compounds, the most well-known are the neurotransmitters, neural chemicals that are involved in message transmission from the electrically excitable cells known as neurons across the biological junctions (synapses) to specific cells in order to trigger specialized activity. Different neurochemicals bring about particular bodily responses. Other substances include neuropeptides, amino acid chains that influence tissues and neural activity and psychopharmaceuticals, chemicals and drugs that alter nervous system function to bring about changes in behavior, consciousness and mood.

Through manipulation of this ability, an individual can control the various nervous system processes at the cellular-chemical level, causing beneficial and/or detrimental effects.
