Power Overdrive
After being consumed by extreme rage, Gon Freecss (Hunter × Hunter) rapidly matured himself into an adult with immense strength at the cost of all his inborn talents and life force.
Power/Ability to:	Push one's power/ability beyond their limits at the cost of facing a critical hindrance.

The ability to push one's power beyond their limits at the cost of experiencing crippling and/or lethal side-effects. Combination of Special Attacks, Self-Power Augmentation and Double-Edged Power.

Capabilities

The user can put their power into overdrive, boosting their ability way beyond its limit making it stronger or ignoring its weaknesses; sometimes gaining a sudden boost of stamina, strength, speed and endurance in the process of using the power.

It must be a power that the user already has but boosted beyond its limits or so-called limitations at a dangerous cost, such as causing an overload of incredible power that can cripple and/or lethal side-effects. After use, the user may face a jeopardizing obstruction such as temporary exhaustions or permanent loss of their powers, a major setback on their abilities, or a crippling/fatal injury.

Limitations

• If users have Auxiliary Condition loss of powers can be temporary.

...but the overdose poisoned him, causing a deadly disease that killed him a year later.

Bane (Batman: Arkham Origins) took an overdose of TN-1, which was more potent than that of Venom, given that in ten minutes the drug would reach its full potency, leaving a small window of vulnerability.

Jackson Chappell (Batman Beyond) took a massive infusion of Venom in an attempt to defeat Batman. While he gained great power, the overdose eventually turned him into a brain-dead vegetable.

Gyanza Rujike (Black Cat) boosting his muscles to the absolute maximum, but due to him being untrained, he used up all of his life force in the process, which cost him not just his muscles, but also life.

Igor Planter (Black Cat) gained the power to control plants via drinking the Spirit Drink, but due to incompatibility, he shriveled up shortly afterwards and died.

Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach) used the Saigo no Getsuga Tenshō: Mugetsu , allowing him to transcend the limits of both Shinigami and Hollow, but will deprive him of his power after use.

Sajin Komamura (Bleach) used his clan's Humanization Technique to temporarily regain his human form as well as the associated power boost and immortality, but this eventually regressed him to a mere wolf.

Upon using Quincy: Letzt Stil, Uryu Ishida (Bleach) gained an immense boost in power for several minutes, but afterwards lost his Quincy powers entirely. Though he later recovered his power, it is for this reason that thus the Quincy: Letzt Stil is considered an obsolete technique.

Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman (DC Comics) uses the Super Flare to expel all of the solar energy in his cells in the form of a massive explosion that incinerates everything within a quarter-mile radius...

...at the cost of him losing his powers for the next 24 hours.

Only if KingChessmon (Digimon) is pushed into a corner and endangered then it can use its strongest technique, Checkmate.

Gas (Dragon Ball Super) enters a state in which he burns through his cells as fuel, gaining an explosive burst of power...

...at the expense of his physical health, with his body decaying into a decrepit, zombie-like state.

During the Tournament of Power, Master Roshi (Dragon Ball) pushed himself beyond his limits by firing a MAX Power Kamehameha using his own life force to defeat Ganos...

...which would have killed him had Goku not managed to restart his heart.

Son Goku (Dragon Ball) uses the x10 Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken to gain an explosive burst of power during his battle with Hit, enough that Hit's Time-Skip technique was rendered useless against him. As a result, he developed Delayed Onset Ki Disorder, a condition that greatly hindered his Ki control.

In the hopes of destroying Majin Buu, Vegeta (Dragon Ball) expended all of his life energy in the form of the Final Explosion, devastating the landscape and blowing Majin Buu to pieces...

...as a result, he was reduced to a stone statue and crumbled to dust.

In hopes of destroying Cell Max, Gamma 2 (Dragon Ball Super) ascended into the atmosphere, expending all of his energy in the form of Core Breaker, and cutting off Cell Max’s arm as he descended towards the landscape in a massive explosion. As a result, Gamma 2's body became lifeless and turned to dust.

Lucy (Elfen Lied) pushes her powers to the limit to heal Kouta's life-threatening wounds...

...causing her body to rapidly melt.

Natsu Dragneel (Fairy Tail) entered Fire Dragon Slayer King Mode, which allowed him to use the power of Igneel, the Fire Dragon King. However, doing so resulting in the development of an Anti-Magic Tumor that would have killed him. However,..

...it was actualy the development of the Demon Seed, which would lead to his progression into E.N.D.

Rasen (Flame of Recca) used the Kōkai Gyoku to erase Kagerō's immortality curse, but it was too much for the weapon to take that it self-destructed before it could take Rasen's existence as payment.

After using the Convexity Fury to defeat and purify Dark Cynder, Spyro (The Legend of Spyro) lost all of his elemental powers, forcing him to relearn them with help from the Chronicler.

The first time she activated her Household Vessel, Morgiana (Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic) gained a massive boost of power, but in the process, she burned through her body's supply of Magoi, leaving her near-death.

Anti-Venom (Marvel Comics)

To protect her infant son and the earth, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Marvel Cinematic Universe) forced herself to generate force fields so powerful they were able to push back even Galactus, though the strain of doing so proved fatal.

After opening all of his Eight Gates, Might Guy (Naruto) gain power surpassing that of the Five Kage, but was destined to die from the strain. Even though Naruto saved his life, the recoil damage inflicted onto him forced him to retire from battle.

Mizuki (Naruto) drank a flawed potion that gave him an explosive boost of power, greatly enhancing his physical attributes, but the strain on his cells caused his body to breakdown shortly after, and he lost his ability to use ninjutsu ever again. Had Tsunade not saved him, he would have actually died.

Hody Jones (One Piece) overdosed on Energy Steroids, which kept over-bursting his powers far beyond his body's limit...

...but eventually, he aged prematurely so much that he could barely stand up without a walking cane.

While normally limited to one minute per day, Escanor (Seven Deadly Sins) can extend the duration of his invincible "The One" form...

...by burning up all his lifespan, during which becomes "The Ultimate One" for the remaining life he has.

By using Force Projection, Luke Skywalker (Star Wars) generated a tangible and realistic Astral Projection of himself across half the galaxy, though the effort to sustain this power for a prolonged period proved fatal.

Toguro (Yu Yu Hakusho) raising his muscles to 100% of his 100% power, forcing past his limit. However, as he used his life force to do so, the strain caused his body to shatter upon defeat, and he died shortly after.

Lestion (Yumekui Merry) can kill any dream demon with his gun, but doing so will destroy him and shatter his vessels conscious and subconscious minds in the process.

Zodiac Master (Legend of the Dragon) lost control of himself once he added the ox power band in addition to the dog and ram power bands.

Red Hulk (Avengers: Ultron Revolution) lost control of himself after being caught in the Leader’s particle-accelerating gamma bomb that he went on a rampage.

Hulk (Avengers: Ultron Revolution) drained gamma energy from Red Hulk and nearly died if Bruce Banner hadn’t gotten through to him and release all the excess energy.
