The user, either innately or through training, is a master of rakugo, a form of Japanese verbal entertainment. There is a single storyteller. The storyteller, or rakugoka, sits in the seiza position on stage with their only props being a fan and small cloth. The storyteller voices a complicated comical story. The story involves two or more characters. Each character is differentiated by the storyteller using change in pitch, tone, and turn of head. The story always has a punchline or ochi.
