Users with this trait can take on the abilities of a ro-langs or are one. A ro-langs is a type of zombie found in Tibetan folklore that can either be created by tantric rituals in order to serve a necromancer's will or be risen by a demonic entity that uses them to contaminate as many living beings as they can. The demonic variants are able to plague humans via touching their heads and, in some folk tales, would spread epidemic level plagues (the style of these zombies is strikingly similar to the modern idea of zombies in popular culture and may have helped shape this image to some extent.)
Ro-langs came in several variants and each one required a specific means to kill it. Being otherwise immortal by virtue of already being dead, the variants were known as "skin-zombies", "blood-zombies", "flesh-zombies", "bone-zombies" and "mole-zombies".
All ro-langs were incapable of speech, often using their tongues to try and lure victims; they were also unable to bend their limbs and thus walked in a stiff, lurching motion.

- Each variant has a specific means by which to destroy it, a "skin-zombie" requires one to break the skin, a "blood-zombie" must be made to bleed, a "flesh-zombie" must be deeply cut or have flesh removed, a "bone-zombie" must have a fractured bone, and a "mole-zombie" is only vulnerable at a mole on the body.
- Unable to bend due to extremely stiff limbs, thus cannot enter low doors (thus many doors used to be made low in order to stop the creatures from entering homes).
