Capabilities[]
The user can bond/connect/link with anything. The user can selectively create and benefit from links/bonds. The user could establish connections with chosen objects, people, locations, or even concepts. This connection might grant them various abilities depending on the target. The user could selectively transfer properties like strength, knowledge, or even emotions between themselves and a chosen target. The user could see, hear, or feel through the senses of someone they've established a connection with.
Various examples can be given. By connecting with a location steeped in history, the user can potentially experience past events firsthand, gleaning valuable insights into historical happenings or the lives of those who resided there. Let's look at another example. Establishing a connection with a group of allies fosters a coordinated team mind, enabling seamless communication and synchronized maneuvers, leading to strategic advantages in combat or complex undertakings. Let's look at our 3rd and final example. Delving into another's emotions allows for a deeper understanding of their experiences, facilitating trust and fostering stronger bonds. However, navigating the surge of emotions requires significant mental fortitude.
It should not be confused with Selective Unity. While "Selective Unity" means to become one with something, "Selective Connection" means to develop/establish a bond with something.
As a note, applications may vary depending on the form and type of bond/connection/link. For example, the applications of a connection established with an inanimate object and a connection established with a living being will be different from each other.
