"Black Star is all I can see in front of me, it's driving me crazy. I wanted to believe I found an Angel, but all I found was a Demon in myself."
― The Enigma TNG - Black Star

The ability to induce sociopathy. Sub-power of Mental Disorder Manipulation. Variation of Insanity Inducement. Not to be confused with Psychosis Inducement.

Capabilities[]

The user is able to cause targets to become sociopathic, causing a lack of moral sense of right or wrong and antisocial personality disorder. In terms of sociopathy, their traits involve being wrathful, irresponsible, insane, manipulative, impulsive, hypocritical, disorganized, and/or even savage in nature. Whereas psychopaths are normally highly intelligent, sociopaths are mainly identified as masterful liars and deceivers that tend to lack empathy for others in certain areas, though both said sides of the same coin are not to be confused.

Unlike psychopaths since they tend to blend themselves into society effectively and having zero empathy, they tend to deviate and also distance themselves away from society, and even if they do, they won't hold onto their own occupations for long, and people that do manage to come across them, they will be treated horribly and to do various nasty actions towards them like murder, torture, etc. However, the main silver lining in terms of differences between a psychopath and a sociopath, is that sociopaths have some limited empathy, but not towards others. This is, technically speaking, what makes them form relationships with certain people, but once they find out the sort of individual they would be, the sociopath will betray them in an instant.

Furthermore, they tend to feel remorse for whatever wrongdoings they commit, whereas psychopaths experience no regrets.
